Great batteries and great charger!

We love these chargers! We have 2 now (one set for mom & dad and one set for our kids). One we've had for about 1.5 years and used the controllers every day with no loss in battery life. Sometimes they can be a little finicky when placing on the charger and you have to wiggle it a little to make it connect, but that's not really an issue for us. Our son broke one of the battery covers and we've had to tape it on the controller so I wish I could find just a replacement back, but because you never really need to remove the battery (the battery lasts a couple of days with moderate use, and you don't remove it to charge) it's not a big deal. We have sent the controller with the charged battery in it with our daughter for a weekend with her grandparents and cousin and it has still had some charge when she came home. We just bought a third one as a gift for our nephew too!

This has saved my boyfriend and I a lot of money!!!
We both game and play often so we were draining our controllers really fast and going through a 32 pack of batteries within a few days and we wanted to save a few extra bucks a month so he told me to look into a charging station and I ended up going with this one.

We put them on the charger every night (as you would your cell phone.. I hope)
And when we play we are able to play for a loooong time.
We haven’t played to the point of them dying on us so I can’t give an exact time but we played for like 9 hours straight the other night and they were fine.

We still keep batteries on hand just in case but so far we haven’t had to use any!
No complaints. Does what it’s supposed to!

Update: about 10 months or so of daily use, one side of the base is no longer working. The red light is dimly on with no controller in place, and it never charges on that side. I contacted Amazon, and they gave me a refund. Even with this problem, I still feel like this purchase was worth it. The number of batteries that I didn’t have to buy was worth more than the cost of the unit. Even if Amazon didn’t take it back, I could still charge on half of the base. I intended to purchase another one, but decided to give the Energizer branded model a try based on the number of positive reviews.

Charges fairly quickly, but seems kind of flimsy

I've had it for a couple of weeks now. The batteries seems to hold a charge for a decent amount of time, charge fairly quickly, and there wasn't very many problems setting everything up. The batteries only took about 2-3 hours for the light to turn green on the unit. I usually take the controller off once it is green, since I don't know if there is overcharging, or if the unit knows to just idle the batteries.

Once the batteries are charged, they seem to last quite some time. I usually play for about 2-3 hours a day, and it seems like I only have to recharge them once a week, maybe longer. I guess only time will tell if that keeps up, or if they get worse.

There are only two things I don't like about it...how flimsy the docking for the controllers are, and once the batteries are "low" they are pretty much dead.

The controller just sits on the docking station, and doesn't lock-in in any kind of way. You have to push the controller down on the dock to get it to start charging. It's not as easy to push the dock down with a controller in it, as you would think it should be. Once it's done charging, you have to either push down on the dock again, or just remove the controller. It seems like the dock is supposed to act as a holder for the controller when you're not using it.

The batteries don't really seem to work well with the battery display you can see while the xbox is on. It seems to have 2 settings...95% full, or "low". Once the batteries are low, they're pretty much dead. I would recommend having another controller charged and ready to go, just in case the one controller dies in the middle of a game and you can't pause it. It should help with a quicker recovery. That's what I do. Other than that, it seems to work pretty well for the price.

We've had ours for almost a year now and its the best. We went through so many batteries before this. I've had this charger a little over six months now. Can usually go a week or more on a charge with moderate use. Goes faster when banking game hours. With two controllers, I just keep one on the stand and when I get the low battery message from my console I click it into it's cradle so it's fully charged by the time I've cashed my in-use controller and I can just drop it off for a charge. Some reviews I read mentioned having difficulty seating the controller on the actual implement - just know the cradle sits up in an inactive position and clicks down to make contact with the battery. You can just click it down without a controller on it, then set the controller down. It seats very easily then. Very happy and stoked not to be discarding used batteries.

I have an original Xbox One controller and a brand new one. The replacement covers fit the old controller but do not fit the new one. I can still use the old controller to recharge the battery packs, and I can use the battery packs in the new controller, I just have to leave the cover off and I don't like that. Otherwise works fine and reasonably priced, just make sure your controllers are the right type before buying.

I was dubious when I ordered this product, not being an official Microsoft product.

It came with two rechargeable battery packs that fit tightly into the back of the controller with two lids that have an hole for the contact for the base, don't lose them. You won't be needing your original controller battery lid thereafter.

It takes up to three hours or so to fully charge the battery from 0 state, for an anxious gamer it might take long but if you game alone, you have two and can switch the other one up (assuming you have another controller to sit on the cradle, you can't just charge the battery pack by itself because it depends on the weight of the controller).

The charge lasts enough for two whole days of reasonable weekend gaming.

Great product, great price. Neat design.

The product has already paid for itself in terms of replacing batteries. Do yourself a favour and get one ASAP.

Works well and going to save lots of $$$ by not having to buy batteries. Bear in mind the controller does not snap or click into place. Once you push the cradle down and it clicks into place, you just set the controller onto it which is pretty simple. This works way better than the one I initially chose. The first one didn't work right out of the box like this one has.
