I bought this cooler just to use a couple to 3 days at a time... it's small enough to pack around. Fairly thick sides and top. Best thing about it is I didn't have to take a loan out to buy one of the crazy cost roto molded 170 to 300 something coolers. If somebody steals this cooler I'm out only 28 bucks and some change.. I did an ice test with 8 sixteen ounce bottles of water from Saturday morning at 8 am till Monday morning at 8am. Left the cooler on back porch the whole time with temps running 85 to 90 degrees during day. only opened cooler maybe 8 times during the whole test. Ice was completely melted Monday morning. But the drinks were still cold. Sunday morning the ice was melted pretty good but still had some chunks in it and drinks were still good and cold. overall it's a nice cooler and its American made. I refuse to spend 300 bucks on a cooler. or even 189.00..

Been working for the electric utility some years now. Have had several different duffle bags, cooler duffles, hard lunch boxes, coolers, etc. The objective was always something to carry not only lunch but also the other stuff you like to have when you're work truck is your office (tablet, keys, phones, glasses, spare phone chargers, whatever personal items, etc). The challenge has always been something big enough to carry it all but not so big it intrudes on the other guys as we all carry our own bag or cooler. Before this cooler I had the Duluth "Karl's Lunch" cooler bag. Great bag, best of all cooler bags I ever tried. Problem was it's soft as all duffles are. Inevitably on a work truck where space can get tight & other stuff gets packed in, your duffle cooler will get squeezed, squashed & crushed despite your best efforts to avoid it. As good as that Duluth cooler duffle was it couldn't possibly last in that environment forever. Enter this cooler. Perfect size to carry a huge lunch & cooler packs to keep it cold. Still enough room left for me to carry an extra tupperware type container with extra batteries, bug spray, phone charger, $, keys, etc. After that, still enough space for more stuff even though I don't need it usually. The tall design seems to be key, good amount of volume space without the cooler sprawling out so wide. The 2 cup holders are handy. The notch on the lid next to them holds your phone like a viewing kickstand, great idea. The lock loops on the lid & box came in very handy for an unintended use. I tied some loops out of very thin mule tape rope (shoe laces could work too) that hang on the inside. Lid still closes tight over the thin material. My keys on a carabiner clip onto these loops inside. No digging them out from under everything else when I want them. This has easily been the best option I've tried over the years to carry my lunch & extra stuff with me on the crew trucks. No regrets here.

Bought this to replace one of those *really* old school blue and white mini coleman type coolers. I could not be happier. For me, this is the perfect size. The thing feels really solid, but not heavy, and every time I open it, I am still somehow surprised by how much room is inside the cooler. If you need something small that is a little bit more than the old little guy coleman, this is it.
I love that the handle sits flush into the top - it really makes packing this thing so much easier anytime I want it up front in the foot well, or if I need to really "Tetris" pack for a trip.
One other quick thought: I really don't care, because they all seem useless to me, but the "cup holder" things on the lid will really only fit a 12oz can (with nothing on it...I use a Yeti rambler for all canned drinks), and the long notch - whatever that is for - is really not deep enough keep a phone/tablet securely upright. If those features are really important to you, well, just be aware.

Also not fair to remove stars because you leave your cooler out in the rain w/o any cover. The handle is strong and I have no problem carrying this cooler loaded w ice and beverages/snacks, no problems w the handle at all. I love this cooler and for the price plus USA made you cannot beat it. I am extremely happy w this purchase.

This is a solid little cooler. The handle is strong and doesn't flex at all even with a full load of beer and ice. I had about 16 cans and plenty of ice in there, probably could have gone with 20 cans and still had enough ice. At the end of the evening a friend of mine grabbed the last beer and left the lid open, the next morning there was still a lot of ice floating in the water (this was inside a house with moderate temp air conditioning on and this was aslo after hours outside on a tropical island), so I think it will keep ice for as long as most people would need. I also got it for the height to double as a seat at the beach and on my SUP. I tried it out (I'm 6'3", 190 lbs) and it will be comfortable enough to sit on for a while. The top layer of the lid did flex a bit under my weight, but I don't think it will be enough to cause any damage, even with repeated use. Definitely happy with the purchase for the price being significantly cheaper than many similar coolers.

I bought this cooler for my husband for taking lunches and drinks to work. The reviews were iffy but its exactly what he had been talking about so I took the risk. This cooler is AMAZING. it did have a few dents when it arrived but if it worked I could car less. We filled up a couple water bottles and froze them. I place 3 in the cooler and set it in direct sun to see what he was working with prior to taking to work. 24 hours later the inside was still cold and the bottles had little pieces of ice. He has been using for about a month now and is so happy with it. We took it camping this weekend and he accidentally ran it over with our 2500 Ram and it looks rough but still works great! Haha we did upgrade to a half gallon frozen water for more space and it is still pretty frozen when he gets home after an 11 hour day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
