Install was not entirely painless:
Rear: I did end up popping the rear tires off to drill additional fasteners through the mud guard. This was per the instructions as an optional step however it seems like a good idea. Not enough of a pain to dock a star.
Front: piece of cake, old bolts out, swap factory guard for mud guard and re tighten factory hardware. The 3M adhesive on the front guards is a nice touch, helps with install.
The Cons: There is this protective film for the paint that comes with the kit - it is complete garbage and doesn't peel worth a dang. Again not a deal breaker just skip it. The mud flaps actually contact less of the paint than the factory guard does.
Overall nice mud guards, fit very flush to the bumpers and enhance the look & protection.
Install is pretty easy and the hardware gives you pretty good confidence that mud guard isn't going anywhere.
Buy it.
The good:
-They look great on the truck; factory look I would say. Fairly low-profile
-They’ve got a nice, heavy, durable feel.
-They do their job, and they do it well. They’ve got great coverage. They extend a bit past the tires but it still looks clean.
The not-so great:
-They advertise that they are a no-drill install and they are, buuuut if you don’t want an annoying rattle and want them to hold well, you have to drill in that spot further in the wheel well. Not a big problem in the front where you can just turn the steering wheel to open up some room. In the back, you either have to take off the wheels so you can fit a drill or use a stubby screwdriver and a lot of elbow grease to drive the screw through the wheel well liners.
-To put these on, you have to take off the factory rock guards. If you’ve got a newer truck(2014+), you probably have the “larger” guards that you can’t put back on once you install the flaps unless you go through the effort of cutting the guards. This ends up leaving some gaps and some exposed bolts on the bottom of the truck (see photos).
Overall, good product. Not super impressed with the fitment but it works.

I'd much rather Husky had created a new design that fit over the large rock guards rather than just tell us to remove them... I understand why they didn't, but it would make for a better fit.
Additionally the molding at the bottom of these creates a sort of 'funnel' that just looked like trouble to me. It's done to avoid a 'bump' at the bottom of the wheel well but it looks like a great way to get water and ice into the body panels... just didn't feel right.
In the end, as you can see from the photos, I drilled a few new holes and just added the Husky guards on top of the existing stock large rock guards. The front took a little bending but the back fit like a glove. Added one extra screw to the inside of the rear and some black RTV between them and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

First, Husky says "no drilling required;" it was even proudly noted on the front of the box. But, this is only partially true. If you don't want to drill, you will only have two screws holding each flap on your truck (mine is a 2017 RAM 1500). IMHO, two screws aligned vertically over each other on the fender well isn't enough, especially for Canadian winters. So, as per Husky's instructions (I thought they said "no drilling required??), I chose to drill an extra screw for each flap... which required removal of the rear wheels!! Not convenient.
Second, they provide plastic/mylar application strips that you have to apply between the mudflap and the fender. These are meant to protect the paint, in case a small rock or other debris becomes lodged between the flap and the painted fender. These are an absolute pain to get properly positioned while installing the mud flap, because they do not have a glue/"sticky" side - you have to create a solution of soapy water to stick them to your truck! I finally decided to throw them in the garbage and simply apply a thick coat of silicon to the appropriate side of the mud flap to seal that area off from debris.
Third, the instructions are extremely poor:
Annoying repetition: For the RAM 1500, there are two different types of 'rock guards' that RAM installed from the factory - the small ones from 2009 - 2011, which can remain installed under the flap, and the larger ones from 2012 - present, that have to be removed. This requirement is repeated over and over throughout the instructions... even after you've complete that step!!
No sizes: Even though I had to remove the rock guard, the instructions did not tell me what size of tools I would need. It seemed cheap for Husky not to include a simple, but effective time saving tip. Obviously, Husky had to know what size the factory screws were in order to create the instructions in the first place! (They are 10mm, in case you are wondering).
No advice: The factory rock guards were also held on with plastic screw rivet/clips on the bottom, rear of the bed fender - you have to pull down the screw with a flat-tip screwdriver and THEN you can unscrew it with a philips screwdriver, all while holding the back of the clip! This was an important and required tip that was also not provided in the instructions. Also, I'm not sure why the instructions told me to re-install them afterwards... they wouldn't be holding anything and would simply allow water, debris and road salt to accumulate around the sheet metal.
All in all, they look good on my truck, but I was not at all happy with the installation process.
