Be aware of the "plus"

I love these supplements, but I don't think they are appropriate for everyone or all the time. I've been using Rainbow Light products for years and have never had reason to doubt the quality. These specific ones (Vibrance Women's plus Balance & Energy) aren't cheap, especially if you take the full recommended dose (four capsules) every day. Be aware that the 300mg of "Women's Balance & Energy Blend" includes unspecified amounts of Rhodiola, Dong Quai, Green Tea, Red Clover, and DIM (Diindolylmethane). They can't make unsubstantiated claims about those ingredients, so instead they say nothing. Do your due diligence and look up uses and dangers of each! I take one or two capsules in the morning and one or two early afternoon, plus reduce the size of my usual coffee. I feel better -- more energy, better ability to focus, less severe PMS and perimenopause symptoms, and more resilience. Maybe that's what the vitamin B complex and the placebo effect would have done with out the extra ingredients, but I don't think so. (A pharmacist once told me, "Never sneeze at the placebo effect. If it works for you, it works for you.") HTH

I really like these vitamins. After taking them for a few weeks I noticed a difference in my energy and overall well being. When I got off track for a few weeks around the holidays I started feeling icky but started back up with the vitamins again and now I feel back to normal. I think they help to round out my health and make up for whatever nutritional deficiencies I may have and I'm a pretty healthy eater. I suffer from occasional migraines, not extreme but persistent and uncomfortable. I have found those have decreased immensely. I also think these vitamins help to maintain a balance that prevents me from feeling like a nutcase during my monthly hormonal fluctuations. I just feel a lot more even keel and significantly less exhausted. Other positives are that there is no after taste. I always take with meals to prevent stomach upset. Overall highly recommend!

I was researching the best women's multivitamins and Rainbow Light Vibrance with Balance and Energy was in the top ten- though expensive I really like the ingredients listed in the additional complexes and like that it is plant based. AND it has great ingredients for skin nails hair etc- I used to take an additional vitamin for beauty support, but this seems to be all inclusive.

Cons- you have to take 4 capsules a day BUT they're easy to take, you can take them with or without a meal. I've taken them both at night and in the AM and haven't noticed any issues with digestion or upset stomach like some vitamins. It doesn't keep me up at night on days I take them before bed.. so all in all it's pretty positive. Haven't had any weird breakouts.

Hormonal changes....Dong Quai

So....I took this for about two months. It made me feel fantastic. I had lots of energy and my mood mellowed out which was great. However, I'm 36 and I started having a period every two weeks, which is not cool. I did some research and it's likely the Dong Quai. It affects your hormones, mainly estrogen, so if you have breast cancer or are at high risk for breast cancer or if you have any other other condition, like endometriosis, that can be adversely affected by an increase in estrogen, stay away. I stopped taking it about a week ago and I can already tell my cycle is normalizing and my moodiness is back, Ugh!
