The M80 Pro features a unique wet/dry mopping system that cleans, then dries your floor in a single pass. You’ll be surprised by how much dirt it gathers! Don’t worry, the mop attachment is easy-to-clean and reusable. It’s perfect for tile or hardwood floors.
A Helix Brush Roll for Your Carpets
The detachable, innovative helix design brush-roll lifts, then separates carpet fibers for a deep-reach clean while simultaneously cleaning itself by removing hair, string & other debris.
Dual, durable wide-reach nylon-fiber side brushes capture and pull-in debris, both large & small, across multiple floor types, along corners & edges.
Note: The brush roll requires some user maintenence. Please see user manual for additional information.
Convenient Dustbin Design
The M80 Pro's dustbin is located on the top of the vacuum, instead of the back, to prevent accidental spillage when you empty it. We've added a handle to make it easy to carry and made it water resistant so it's easy to clean.
We've managed to enlarge the dustbin to 500 ml to support longer, more comprehensive cleaning, while keeping the M80 Pro at a compact 3 inches tall so it can clean those hard-to-reach places.

We purchased this vacuum after reading many reviews on different brands on Black Friday but didn’t open it till Christmas and since then have run it 10 times for different amounts of time. So far it is working as expected. Many reviews on this vacuum and many other vacuums are very negative and very picky. I think some people are expecting WAY too much from a robotic vacuum even if it is $300 or more. We got a great price on this one and couldn’t pass it up. I think many others expect this to be a complete replacement for manual vacuuming, but it shouldn’t. It is simply a prewritten code programmed onto a little tiny computer and attached to some motors and brushes and sensors.
We came into this vacuum knowing that we would still have to pull our Dyson out and do it ourselves once in a while. We have two dogs that shed an average amount and a child on the way so we wanted something to just help pick up the dog hair so our child wasn’t crawling around in hair.
Setup for us was very easy. Using the app we were able to connect it to the wifi. Yes be aware this vacuum does NOT support 5Ghz wifi networks and requires a 2.5ghz wifi network. We have both networks already set up in our home. That being said we have had no problems with the vacuum being connected to the 2.5ghz network and are still able to control the vacuum from our phones while connected to the 5ghz network. So for all the reviews complaining about having to connect to a slower network to control the vacuum, that’s not the case!
Once the setup was completed we ran the auto mode first. The first thing I noticed was how quiet it was. You could hear it but it wasn’t obnoxious at all and didn’t bother us. It ran for about 15 min till we were tired of our dogs barking at it. Its auto pattern is a combination of the other modes it has: edge cleaning, spot, and intensive. You can tell when it switches between them. I would say all the modes meet my expectations. I think the edge mode works the best, that’s where most of the hair gathers and it follows the walls and furniture well. Yes the auto mode is a bit random and it may not cover 100% of your floors in one run but if you run it once a day probability shows that eventually it will cover everything. You can also manually direct DeeBot via the app to a particular spot to clean or to help it out of a cornered situation.
Our house has 100% hard floors. We have wood everywhere except the kitchen and bathrooms. We have a few rugs throughout including a large area rug in the living room and bedroom. Most are low profile however our entry rug is very thick. DeeBot has no problem transitioning to any of them (sometimes it doesn’t like our black rug at the garage door because the drop sensors think it’s a drop off) and it transitions over our high thresholds between the tile and wood. We also do not have any cords on the floor and not much clutter. It did push our Christmas tree skirt around a little bit but never got tangled or stuck.
The amount of dust and hair it collects has been impressive. Sometimes we have to empty the bin 2-3 times while its running. Not a problem for me, I'd rather empty it than have the dirt on my floor. The brushes pick up and direct the dirt very well. I'm glad this one has two spinning brushes on the front compared to other brands that only have one. It also came with two extra front brushes. The cleaning tool is also helpful in removing hair that gets wrapped around the main brush.
The sensory equipment seems to work adequately. When DeeBot approaches a wall for instance, it slows down before touching the wall and turns. Narrow items such as table legs, chairs, or corners of walls seem to miss the sensors and it will bump into it. Its never hard enough to damage anything but I might add a strip of foam to the front just in case. It will get stuck under chairs, such as dining room chairs. ITS GOING TO HAPPEN! It’s a robot, not a genius. If you run the vacuum just keep an eye on it. If you want to run it and then leave the house just flip your chairs upside down onto your table, that’s what I did and it worked perfectly. It is a bit humorous how he bumps into things. It reminded us of Wall-E so that’s what we named him.
Return to home is a little hit or miss. So far out of 10 runs it successfully returned 7 times, and sometimes it took 5-7 min to find it. We may try moving the base to another spot to see if it helps. The app is simple and easy to use and gives cleaning logs, maintenance reminders, and status for the vacuum. We were also able to successfully connect it to our Amazon Alexia Echo Dot. Now all we have to do it say "Alexia, tell Wall-E to start cleaning" and away he goes.
We have not tried the wet mop feature yet on ours. I do not have high hopes for this function however it was not the main reason we purchased this vacuum. If it works ok then great, if not I still call it a win. We also haven't tried the scheduling program yet either but I think we plan on using it on demand more than a schedule.
Overall it met my expectations. It does work, it is easy, and our floors are cleaner than they were. If you have realistic expectations you will be satisfied with this vacuum. I hope it will last us quite a while.
Where the Deebot N79S is mild mannered, composed and graceful, relatively quiet, cleans very well, avoids most obstacles, and works pretty much inconspicuously in the background, the Deebot M80 Pro is like an air-headed dalmatian let loose in a glassware shop. The M80 Pro is loud, clumsy, heavy and I don’t know if it’s the particular model I received, but it’s front and side collision sensors never seemed to be working. It will avoid falling over a set of stairs, but aside from that, it doesn’t recognize anything in front, so it just bumps (or better said, “slams”) into absolutely everything. It’s like watching a slow but shrill pinball machine. It will slam into walls, into chair and table legs, into doors with a loud bang, and even slam and try to climb up your own foot… if you don’t quickly get it out of its way.
The very first day I got the Deebot M80 Pro and tried it, I noticed it got stuck momentarily under my night table and began bouncing underneath for a few seconds; (the M80 Pro is a bit taller than the Deebot N79S). To my dismay, apparently it had brutally forced its way out from under the night table or later from under the bed, and when I checked it to see how much dust it had collected, the M80 Pro had a collection of awful-looking gashes, scrapes and scratches on the top section, especially on the white lid that you lift up to get to the trash bin. At least one gash goes from one extreme of the lid to the other, and I thought the plastic had literally split, maybe because something had fallen on top of the vac. But no, it clumsily damaged itself. Oh and it took me DAYS to finally be able to get the vac to work with Wi-Fi and hence with Alexa. This process was relatively easy with the Deebot N79S.
Two days ago, this vacuum slammed into a six foot ladder that was closed up against a wall, knocked it over, and the ladder fell on and shattered a small glass table with various ornaments. That’s when I decided this piece of junk has to go. It’s really like the M80 Pro is possessed.
But if you’re willing to put up with all this, how does the Deebot M80 Pro clean? I found myself a few times having to re-sweep the area where the vacuum had already passed through. It was never obviously dirty to the naked eye, but I could feel particles and grittiness left behind where I stepped with my bare feet. When I swept again with an old school broom, there was always some dirt in the dustpan that the M80 Pro left behind. Great. I only used the mopping feature twice, (the main reason why I ordered this model), but it wasn’t great either. I ended up mopping again later with a real mop.
In summary, I wouldn’t recommend this robot vacuum at all. I always thought it seemed fishy that the Deebot M80 Pro had been reduced from its regular $212.77, first to $165.68 and later to $148.77, which is the price I finally purchased it for. Nowhere does it say that it was refurbished, but I’ve been wondering all along if this was a known “bad batch,” and Ecovacs and/or Amazon tried to sell it anyway. In any case, I don’t want it. I want my money back.

Purchased this M80 back in September, as it came from the US it took approximately a month to be delivered. It arrived before the expected date which was a bonus. Upon opening the package everything was in good shape and easily labelled for assembly. Within 2 minutes the M80 was assembled and ready to charge. Charging took the recommended 4 hours before the first cleaning could take place.
Upon first cleaning I was rather impressed with all of the dirt that the M80 picked up but it also picked up little toys and other things. This is definitely one of the down falls of this M80 but I believe any will have the same issue and also if you have a home with many different rooms that are separated by doorways you must ensure that the door is open all the way to the wall to ensure that M80 does not get stuck, also ensure blankets, clothing, towels, etc. are not left on the floor as to not get it stuck in the main brush of the M80. The M80 cleans hardwood flooring and carpets with ease. I have a few transitions within my main floor and it transitions without a single issue.
M80 does a great job at cleaning in tight corners and around legs of sofas and tables. When the M80 made its way into the washroom it did a great job of getting around the toilet and counters. Dry cleaning was great and every day I have the M80 scheduled to do an edge clean (the vacuum follows the walls) it does a great job and clears away all hair and dust along baseboards. Now using the spot cleaning with kids has been a godsend as the remote allows you control the M80 and move it to the location of the spot cleaning. M80 does a great job with items as big as goldfish (crackers) and as small as hair. Now the full cleaning Auto cycle has 2 settings which are normal and max. The max setting does drain the battery a bit faster than the normal setting but that is to be expected from the higher suction. As for the battery life to clear the entire house it only takes about 2 hours to clean my main floor and has plenty of battery to make it home. I have never had an issue with it dying and not making it back to its cradle for recharge. It can occasionally take some time for the M80 to sort out where it is heading to get back to the cradle but it does eventually find its way back.
Overall, experience it is a great a great product and at its price, there is no going wrong, it is perfect for people with busy lives as a great clean up tool but it is not a full replacement for a manual vacuum. It keeps things clean and fresh keeps the house tidy and allows vacuuming to be done less frequently by you.
