The issue is that the brilliant engineers at Toro wired the batter charger lights backward! This is documented in the attached pictures. The left light at the bottom of the charger is supposed to be green and the right light red when the battery is fully charged, according to the manual and the product stickers at the bottom of the charger between the lights. This was driving me nuts because the lights never matched the battery!
Battery charge is indicated by the 4 blue lights on top of the battery- 1 indicates low/empty, 4 lights indicate full.
So you see from the pics that I insert an empty battery into the batter charger, which draws .06 Amps with no battery and ramps up to 1.44 Amps with the empty battery (1 blue LED) plugged in. Note that it is indicating a full charge on the charger with Green/Red lights on the bottom lit. As the battery charges up the charger draws more current, up to 1.59A with 3/4ths of a charge (3 blue lights). It went up to 1.65A but eventually charged the battey. When it did so the charger went back to drawing .05A from the wall- about the same as no battery hooded up at all. Now the charger indicates Red/Red on the bottom lights- which should indicate charging but which actually indicate a full charge?
So I am hopefull that the battery charger is just wired wrong for the indicator lights but actually works correctly. We shall see

I have this blower hanging in a convenient place in my garage, so I can grab it quickly for those really small jobs, that i would have used a broom and scoop for. (I spilled about a cup of cat litter)
Side bonus,, it is not so loud to disturb neighbors on a Sunday morning.
5 stars and worth it!
We have a huge oak tree eating our front lawn and street. When we moved here we had more leaves than grass. This leaf blower really works to get the leaves in one space, and while loud, isn't as loud as ones we've heard other people using. The variable speed is great, we can get huge patches or do more refined areas around steps and in between plants.
