I gave this razor a try because a barber showed me an Andes and said it had lasted ten years, that it was still going strong and was very inexpensive. So, I bought it and I’ve found the shave to be better than the disposable razors I had been using. After a little experimentation I’ve found that with a clean dry face, using a light touch while keeping both blades contacting the skin, I can shave better with less irritation than with the disposable razor. In the past I’ve tried every possible way to shave an area under my jaw but could never get it all the way. The Andes did a much better job and just this morning I used it in a 360-degree motion and got the best shave ever in this trouble spot – it’s almost totally smooth. If it lasts for three years than I’ve calculated the cost will be equal to the cost of disposable razors. Anything after that will make it a better buy. I looked at other reviews before I bought this razor and one person said it was cheaply made because it was light weight. It is extremely light weight but I’m not sure that is valid consideration in determining quality because now this razor seems to be the right weight. Why would you want anything heavier? Time will tell if it was a good buy. So far, I’m extremely happy.

I've shaved my head with almost every store brand of razor, stepped up to safety razors and the whole nine; but there are some days that I just need to get a quick shave and don't feel like dealing with the whole routine of the shaving brush, etc. And rushing through with the 5 blade store brand razors that cost 1/3 off this electric shaver can be expensive and leave my scalp with quite a few nicks.

I've used this shaver 3 times so far and really like it. It shaves quickly in very few passes, and feels almost as if I had done a full wet shave. I've tried shaving with electric razors before and they took forever and never got this close.

Maintenance is a breeze. Pop open the top, lightly tap the excess it and brush away what remains if needed. Initial charge took a couple of hours and from what I read, it should last a while off that charge, but I can run off the cord if it starts to die mid-shave.

It works as advertised if it's used every day or two, but no more. Any longer and it misses many individual whiskers that are a little longer than the rest, and just lay down against the skin when the shaver reaches them.

It's quite noisy, probably due to being very light and all plastic construction.

The cover is difficult to remove as there's a release button only on one side rather than both, and it's set flush and a bit too small to be easily operated.

Overall, I'm satisfied with it; just have to keep its quirks in mind.

Shaver is nearly as close as shaving with a razor but there is no noticeable difference without touching. But because saves a ton of time I wont be buying razors any time soon. This unit bought itself in the first 3 months with money I saved on razors..... my barber has had this for about 2 years now with no issues. The local barbershop used this on my head (bald) and gave me the closest thing to a blade I have ever had. For the price I don’t think you can beat it. I also have a Norelco rotary shaver, not top-of-the-line ($200+) that I paid close to $100 for and does nowhere near a good of a job as this one. I’m not a big fan electric razors, especially this foil type and From what I have read you must use it almost daily. It will only work on stubble but saves me shaving my head with a razor once a week.
My 2 cents worth, there is no shaver that will give you as close a shave as a blade but this is the closest I have gotten. Very pleased so far
