    This toy atom is cute and great for a teething baby! It rattles and is a good size for baby to hold and chew on. It's hard plastic but slightly elastic & very well made so it's safe for infants to play with.BTW it's dishwasher safe!! Yay!& Daddy is a chemical engineer so it was a necessary purchase!In all seriousness, it's an awesome toy worth it's price!

    I got this toy for my granddaughter and she loves it!
    It is bright and colorful, easy for her to hold/grasp, and as many babies do, she loves putting it in her mouth and using it as a teether.
    As far as cleaning, it's fairly easy, but be aware that their are some holes in the toy, so while you're cleaning, try not to get them wet or if you do, make sure they dry out.
    Overall, this is a wonderful toy/teether and I highly recommend it.

    Let's be honest...I purchased this because I thought it was cute and quirky. Eyes were rolled by the spousal unit when he discovered I bought it just because it was an "atom", but I love it all the same.

    The oldest child played with it a little, but the younger one goes nuts over it. Thank goodness, because I was starting to get crap for buying something just because I thought it was cute.

    It makes a good rattle when shaken and is perfect for his little drooly teething mouth. He chews on this thing repeatedly and seems to like the toughness over the squishier teething toys we own. It's the perfect size for his little 1-year-old hands and the colors seem to keep him intrigued. It also works well for entertainment while we're in the car, which is good since it doesn't take up a lot of room.

    And yes, I still get a giggle over the fact that it's an atom. That may make me a bit more biased in my rating, but I don't care.

    I’ve bought numerous teethers for my daughter who is fast approaching 5 months old and as a new mum, it’s a bit of a minefield. Is she teething/isn’t she? I’ve tried soft silicone ones which she likes for a little bit, I’ve also tried a dummy version that can be filled with frozen fruit - again, she liked these for a little bit. However, after noticing that she was gnawing on my knuckle, I wondered if she needed something harder.

    We’ve had this two days now and she’s figured out how to gnaw on it herself, she can hold it with both hands and if she loses grip she quickly finds another holding position and relocates it. This works especially well if I lay her tummy down against a pillow - she rests her elbows on the pillow and then pops the teether into her mouth. The little circular rings are an added bonus as they make a light rattle. The colours are gorgeous.

    Initially I thought this was made of wood from the pictures but it is a plastic material. The stems are flexible but the balls have very little give. In terms of cleaning I have sloshed it about in some warm soapy water, rinsed and then popped into the Milton. Not a problem really :)
