Not water tight from the factory.
4 Stars
Not water tight from the factory.
Update: Tested in pool. Added 2 bags of ice and drinks, and a JBL extreme 3. Rocked it side to side, trying to dump contents. Always stayed lid up for me. Water line never went above the seam unless I pushed down on it.Took everything out, had little water left in it as there is no drain plug. Placed it back on my work bench. I tilted it to the side, and noticed water started dripping out at the rivets. Took a peek inside, gap all the way around, bigger as you get closer to the nose and back end. Gap was 1/8". Didn't want to drill out the rivets, so I just laid a bead of white silicone as easier to see where the gap remained. Still working on removing leftover residue. Would think it would be sealed from the factory at this price. -1 star.It looks like the top and bottom are separate molds, then screwed or riveted together. Seems like it would be easy to lay a seal of some sort between the 2 pieces.Ice test: Still had ice after 2 days sitting in a tub of room temp water.Using for tubing on the river. Lid screws on tight, took lil effort to get back off. Be nice if it had a snap on lid, then a bungee for that extra security. Maybe a mod ill do down the road.Site shows Phillips head screws holding it together, mine are rivets.Mounted the side cleats, used a pair of canjam xt (like ratchet straps) for the speaker tie down.Still cleaning up, but you can see the gap Ive had to fill.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you need cold drinks/food on the water, this is THE solution
Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2022
This cooler is well worth the 5 stars. We filled the cooler with three 7 lb bags of ice, a 12 pack of slim cans, 2 body armor bottles, and a big water bottle. The second picture shows we still had some room in the cooler. I hooked the Creekkooler to my 10’ kayak using a carabiner (see first picture), as I read to not keep it too far behind. Hauling was easier than expected, although I felt little “tugs” every time the cooler countered the wake behind me. Still easy to get to our island (10 min paddle across river). We brought the cooler back, left it outside and checked it next morning (see last picture), still had ice. This cooler did its job perfectly. Next time, I will try to keep it a little closer to my kayak to avoid the small drag.

For some reason they chose to use rivets instead of screws in this model. Their half-sized model, the Pup uses screws. These rivets won't survive a person sneezing close by...lol. Just take a look at the pictures. This is what it looks like before you even use it.

I had seen other reviews, and comments left on YouTube about how these leaked, but I never even had a chance to test it since it was broken before I could use it.

Consider buying one of these a fixer-upper project, because you're going to need to modify it to make it functional.

I tried buying two of them and it was the same construction for both. Why they aren't sold in a box with Styrofoam to support this delicate little cooler, I don't know. I guess it allows them to save a few bucks.

Made with rivets that don't stay attached. The cooler splits open exposing the items inside. Very cheaply made fasteners, despite otherwise being solid. Lucky if it can arrive at your house in one piece.

Cool concept, terrible product construction.
