Something is special about this machine. I started some music, got on, and planned to run for about 30 minutes. But after only 3 minutes, I was breathing really hard. 5 minutes in, I had to start walking. It's kind of exciting how hard this treadmill makes you work.
It took me 26 minutes and 10 seconds to "travel" 1 mile on this treadmill. WHAT?!? I can walk faster than that. Supposedly, I burned 273 calories. Truthfully though, I dropped 3.5 pounds in sweat!
Now I'm curious how accurate the measuring is. 250 of my steps is 1/10th of a mile, so around 2,500 steps is a mile on this machine. I'm going to compare that to a real mile.
And, putting it together is super easy if you have drill. It took about 10 minutes.

I read a few reviews about the belt slipping to one side or the other. I had that happen at first, but an allen wrench is supplied to adjust the belt tension and it is a process to get it just right. It took about 30 minutes of walking and stopping every five minutes or so to adjust the belt tension to get it where it would stay in place. Now I can walk on it and not worry about it moving so much. For reference I am using the treadmill on a hardwood floor.
I love the fact that it folds up and takes up very little space. I just wish it had wheels. It weighs about 60 pounds, so moving it isn't difficult, but wheels would prevent me from having to lift it completely to move it so I don't scratch my floors.
As for the workout, I found it intense. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get my heart rate up, but I was in the 140bpm range in the first 15 minutes - and sweating. Over all I think this is a good buy. I gave four stars because the incline is just too steep with no way to lower it without a homemade modification, the belt lube provided is too skimpy, and wheels would make it easier to move. Other than that, I am very happy with this purchase.

I tried it out and it is a poorly designed mess. The tread will always keep slipping one way or the other. You can try and recenter it and tighten it up but it will still always slip to a side forcing an end to your work out to fix it. This is NOT worth your money. I couldn't get one decent workout on this thing and when I got it the tread wasn't put on properly. Also several of the screws didn't work, one wouldn't fit into any of the holes and two others can't be put in all the way so they're sticking out as if you keep trying to force them it will strip them making them unable to move after.
This was a total waste of my money and do not get this defective product for yourself.
To lubricate, I recommend turning the treadmill on its side and loosening the belt tensioners in the rear. Once on it's side and holding the belt away from the treadmill surface, you can let the droplets fall from the bottle thanks to gravity. Drop deep between the belt and surface. It's easier that way than trying to wedge the bottle between the tight belt and treadmill surface while upright. Then tighten the belt to the manual's recommendations.
Don't expect to watch TV leisurely while walking. You will need to focus on what the treadmill is doing. There is no way to set the speed. You, walking, are the speed. Sometimes the belt slips and jerks, setting you off balance. You'll have to hang on to the handles at all times.
I hope to have the treadmill belt "broken in" a bit so that it's tight enough to slow down the speed but still slippery enough so that it moves well--if that makes sense.
