I needed a nice fan for a good price. I was skeptical because I never heard of Brightwatts but counted on the reviews. I received it and opened the box and found a nice looking fan for a great price. I did not purchase warranty so i hope it lasts. Fan was a little difficult to install due to insufficient instructions but I was to figure it out. I wished it included the screws for the mount to ceiling because I did not have screws on the ceiling because it was a new house. I was able to find a screw on my own to work. I bought the add-on remote with this, however, it did not fit inside the casing attached to ceiling so I am returning the remote... very disappointed on whoever tried to sell add-ons for this product. After installing fan, I found it to be very quiet so I am happy with this buy. If this lasts 6 months then I will buy 8 more for my house.

My wife and I needed a replacement fan for our Master bedroom. We installed it with the remote control about two weeks ago. Though this fan is not ornamental or overly decorative, it fits the bill of being very quiet and without wobble straight out of the box and also it delivers a good amount of air. When compared to other ceiling fans it is very efficient in that it uses 17 watts vs 60 or 65 watts we saw from other fans. Also the led lights that come standard with the fan brighten a room very well.

If there is a negative point I would say that the led lights are not dimmable. As mentioned before we installed the remote with the fan but the lights only turn on or off with the remote. A dimming function would make this a perfect ceiling fan. However, we are able to overlook this because of all the benefits already spoken about before.

I bought this to replace an old fan that was almost identical in design. I never liked the old fan because the light was not as bright as I thought it should be. This fan looks good and was easy to install. I ended up using the blades from my old fan just because I liked their coloring a little better. I have the fan on almost every night while I sleep and it is plenty quiet. It was easy to balance the blades and it spins away with very little movement of the hub. I do like the brightness of the LED light. I have several other nightstand lights that I generally use, but when I want to really see around the room I use the ceiling fan light. This was a good value and I have no complaints.

First, this fan is a great value. Ours is running silently and doesn't shimmy or shake, in spite of our best attempts to destroy it while getting it on the ceiling. Other reviewers had trouble installing too, so at least we weren't the only ones!

We have installed a lot of fans in our lives. At least ten, maybe fifteen. But wowsa! The instructions leave a LOT to be desired. We could not figure out how to flush mount it, so wound up using the downrod. Even two-manning it, we were at it non-stop for about two hours (to be fair at least half an hour was trying to get the breaker turned off and the old fan down). My shoulders were pretty tired. Installing the fan blades was tricky.

That being said, for the price it works great, looks good, is silent, and moves a lot of air: all the things you could want in a ceiling fan. Shipping was faster than expected. If I had to install another one, I might pass. But now that this one is up there, I'm glad to have it.

My son put it in for me and he had no problems at all. The fan looks nice and because it has a "neck" it cools and moves the air much better than any previous ceiling fan that I had. The LED light is a module which takes no bulbs and is very bright, which is what I wanted. I love this fan!!!! I would definitely buy this fan again for anywhere in my house!
