I am a 9 to 9.5 shoe size. I tried the 9 first and immediately felt that the shoe was comfortable, but my toes were too squished. I got the 9.5 and much better for the toes! I think the shoe is a little narrow, but not uncomfortable. It is snug in a way that is supportive to my feet. I jut got them so I’m sure they will break in more. The overall structure of the shoe, especially in the heel, is strong and comfortable. I have heel pain from running/walking on hard surfaces at work and my feet are truly comfortable in this shoe. It is also super light, so can’t wait to run in them.

I’ve been buying 2 to 3 pairs of this brooks flow model each year and am in love with this newest 7. I’m a very active person. After suffering too many injuries( Achilles, back, etc) I decided to really research my running shoes. Since switching from Nike and other brands go this pure flow I haven’t been injured once. It’s such an amazing shoe with zero break in time. They feel amazing from the first time you put them on. I loved the 5. I feel like on the 6 and 7 they changed the sizing a bit, and made it wider. I was a size 9.5 in the 5, and a size 9 in the 6 and 7 model. This newest model may be my favorite. The perfect amount of support, while not over cushioning so you can maintain proper foot alignment. I would HIGHLY recommend this shoe. It’s also the best looking in my opinion. It’s great for walking and for long runs!!

Fixed my plantar fasciitis

I am an ICU nurse and a level one inner city hospital, so my shifts are typically spent 95% on my feet. I have plantar fasciitis, where I have had shots and been in a walking boot for 4 months. These tennis shoes have been life saving! I usually have to switch shoes every shift, or even during my shift because my feet start hurting so bad. I have had these shoes for 3 months now, and have not had to do this once!! I worked 3, twelve hour shifts a week, and typically work an extra 8-12 hours every other week, and my feet have not ached since I purchased them! My only issue is the sizing. I usually wear a 7.5 to 8. I ordered both to pick the best size. The 7.5 were slightly too small, and the 8 were slightly too big, but I kept with the 8 to prevent blisters. I a slightly wide foot, and these fit perfectly with no issue.

I have tried A LOT of running shoes over the past two years. So many, I eventually stopped buying new, and started checking eBay and Poshmark for the “only wore once and too small/big” listings, so I could save some money while trying out various running shoes. The best pair I tried was Brooks Pure Connect. They don’t make them anymore, but the Pure Flow 7 is a close second! I love them! I taught a one-hour circuit training class this morning, and immediately went on a 3 mile run after, wearing the same shoes. My feet feel great!! Today was only my 5th run in these shoes - if things keep going this well, I’ll definitely be back for another pair when I wear these out! Highly recommend, especially if you tend to strike with the middle of your foot while running.

I have been wearing pure flows since the first model came out and they have consistently been my favorite running shoe. I’m a midfoot striker and I primarily do 5ks and sprint triathlons but I just finished my first marathon in October wearing the previous pure flow model. Started with these shoes after recovering from that race and love them. I have found over the years that the toe boxes of all women’s running shoes seem to be getting narrower which is annoying (and is why I can no longer wear Aasics kayanos I used to love for walking/work) and the pureflows are no exception but they aren’t uncomfortably narrow for my feet. I really hope brooks keeps this line of shoe because there aren’t that many running shoes with a 4mm drop, which just seems to work best for me. I have had surgery on my knee twice so in the wrong shoe I really feel it all up and down my bad leg during and after the run. I alternate with mizunos for training runs, but since they got rid of their low drop shoe style I can’t wear their shoes on long runs anymore, just these pureflows

I wish I'd gone through the Brooks website first to determine whether this would be the right fit for me. They are far too narrow for my feet. I'm sticking with them though as they are great for running and I think they will start to give after a while. I just wish I'd bought directly from the website as there are lots of benefits and features to doing that and probably worth the extra cost!
