I had been looking to get a portable gas fire pit to take with us on camping trips so I would not need to carry (illegal in some locations) wood or purchase it at an exorbitant rate at the campground. Assembly was less complicated than the instructions indicated as some parts were already assembled. It did not take long to assemble this and test it. I advise checking all connections for tightness. The hose attachment had a small leak which was fixed by tightening the connection.

The flame is adjustable. On low, it puuts out a nice amount of heat and should be attractive to sit around on a warm summer evening. On high, it can put out a lot of heat at the cost of higher propane use. One does have the ability to ajust the level to one's own choosing. I had considered a Camco Little Red Campfire but purchased this instead because it is also relatively compact and because it is much less expensive. I just need to get a carrying bag for it to protect it while traveling.

I think it will be durable if I take care not to leave it out in the weather when it is not being used.

This little fire pit kept us warm and happy in sub-freezing temps on our recent road trip. It provided instant warmups or long fireside conversations. We used it mostly at lower settings to conserve fuel but when needed, it would kick up a flame 4 feet high.
Love the spring-loaded folding legs and latching lid. Well done!
Takes a little practice to light and manage the flame, and there are few instructions for it. But read reviews and learn.
It can occasionally be finicky to light it below freezing, so bring a long lighter and hot mit. be sure no rocks are on the lighter mechanism. It can be used without rocks as we did at first, but is less enjoyable.

Overall, this item was the best of four we tested, and stowed the easiest and smallest footprint in our camper.
Price is fair for the build quality.

Bought this one as it has a lid - had to order from the international arm of Amazon, but it arrived quickly, and seemed to be Uk posted, even with import charges and high postage cost - but it was proced about right compared to the local ones that don't have a lid - all prices seem to have jumped for the summer though.
Keep the box. As this has a lid and handle, cut slots in top of box, and the handle sticks out allowing you to keep it in the box for transpot and move it easily.
I bought additional lava rocks too.
Works well,. no mess, easy to use. great for light camps or on sites where you cannot use an open fire.
