I don't think they're good for driving because the palm is not grippy. I find myself taking them off frequently (to use my hands for such things as cooking) which is a process, as each finger has to be pulled off separately. I don't know what one could do about that, as they're a close fit. I am going to order another pair right now.
My hands fit the "large" criteria, and the compression seems about right, but the finger length is a little long, which means the glove finger "ends" tend to get dirty or wet; you have to spend a few minutes skootching them "down" lower to get more than 1/4 inch of finger tips exposed (for the "touchscreen" feature). They are slippery, which isn't a bad thing for comfort, but keep it in mind if you are doing "grip needed chores like handling glass items, etc). Tools will need grips on them, whether an axe or a hammer or broom.
They are a little too snug to sleep with; you need to be awake, moving and active to keep circulation levels up...anything but prolonged periods (hour of more) of no hand movements. That's fine, just a caution. They aren't needed when you sleep; you'll awaken unplanned with uncomfortably warm/sleepy hands, which is a different kind of "ache-y".
Haven't tried laundering them yet; there should be some suggestions to avoid degrading them with laundry chemicals, water temps, etc.
First thing is that the fingers are strangely long. Only the very tips of my pinkies stick out. I was able to adjust the other fingers down below my nail beds at least, but I can't type in these gloves with the lack of pinky space. The pinky measures 1.75" long for me (measured while wearing), so measure from the base of your pinky to see where that will end up for you.
The thumb is also oddly fitting. There is a gap of space at the base of the thumb wear it just sags. Another pair I purchased, a generic Chinese pair, has this same issue. The other brands I purchased were Comfy Brace, CopperFit Ice, and Copper Compression. Those brands do not have this issue.
The fabric is rather thick and heavy, perhaps more suitable for winter. Comfy Brace is also a cotton/spandex fabric, but those gloves are much more breathable. I wear them outside in Texas just fine, but I don't think I could tolerate these Vive ones outside. I actually feel cooler when I but the Comfy Brace gloves on, but these feel thick and warm.
Stitching around the tops of the fingers is scratchy and irritating. Out of all brands I purchased, this is so far the only brand with this issue.
The seams along the fingers are fine. The seam at the base of the thumb feels thick and irritating. The base of the wrist feels a little constrictive.
Of the brands I've tried so far, I like Comfy Brace and CopperFit Ice. I will be returning these Vive gloves and the Copper Compression gloves. Vive gloves have too long fingers, while Copper Compression have very short fingers that reach below my 2nd knuckles (PIP joint).
