When I discovered lice in my daughter's hair, I immediately ran to the drugstore and bought Nix without doing any research. The Nix worked well enough, killing the adult lice, but it burned, smelled terrible, had my daughter in tears, and did nothing to kill the remaining eggs. About a week later the eggs hatched and I ordered this product from Lice Clinics with next day shipping. This product smelled beautiful, went on easily, did not burn, and over week later there is no sign of lice, nits, or nymphs. My daughter has very, very long hair (down to her rear end), so we made sure to brush it well before applying the product. This greatly helped when combing it through her hair. The applicator takes a minute to get the hang of, but once I did it was simple and effective. I was afraid I would run out of product about half way through, so I switched to just applying it to the roots with the comb, and then smearing the rest of the bottle though her hair by hand at the end. We ended up having plenty. It gets very sticky, but it works by suffocating the lice and eggs, so the texture is part of it doing it's job. It took about 3 washes to get it all out, but that was a small price to pay for its ease of use and effectiveness. If we are ever afflicted with lice again, this will be the only product I buy.

No one really wants to talk about it because its an ick, right? In 15 years of having and raising kids, I made it until kid 4 without experiencing the "L" word. I jinxed myself when I thought that one day and then low and behold my youngest came home with them and I sobbed. 10/10 recommend this product, it works and does the job! Honestly, I wish I had started here when she was initially sent home. The comb on the product makes it 1000x better than other products you can buy in stores. Seriously, the ease of combing the product through the hair to ensure those pesky little bugs get gone for good. I bought 3 of them in total and was able to do a total of 4 people's hair. Personally, what I did is went in with the wider tooth comb first, THEN went back threw it with the smaller one. Each time i'd wipe the comb and after they washed their hair I'd use the nit comb and nothing! Seriously a life saving and money saving product... one and done!

I'm upset I had to order another kit, when I already bought kits before. Apparently the company stopped making refills. We already have the combs from the previous kits. Now I have more. The applicator is worthless in ethnic hair. It should have a single squeeze tip for our hair type. I have course, thick 2B hair, so do 2 of my 3 kids. My oldest daughter has thick 3B hair. The gel itself works, but the rest of the kit doesn't. We had to cut and shave hair this time. The orginal little comb broke in my hair and it's metal. This new one I'm using in my youngest daughter's hair. I ended up ordering a heavy duty one for mine. I also ended up ordering a prescription through the doctors (with chemicals that I didn't want) because I wasn't able to afford $240 for 8 kits that have applicators and combs that don't work in my family's hair. Be mindful that not everyone has thin hair and can use 1 little bottle per person. I'm a teacher and we get lice about every other year. It takes about 2 bottles per person in my little family of 4. I shouldn't have to buy 8 kits for 4 people. My youngest had it the worst this time, so this one kit, was one treatment for her. My son shaved his head and my oldest daughter and I did the treatment through insurance. I'm a single parent, cost of living is going up, I get paid so little I'm on Medicaid and my student loans are insane. I can't afford to miss work or come up with almost $250 for lice kits, especially when half the kit is unusable and that's what my gas bill costs. This kit is for people with straight, thin hair.

I swear by this. My son kept getting lice at school because the school doesn't send out lice notices anymore, so the other kids weren't getting treatment. This completely eliminated the lice and eggs. They came right out with the special comb.
Also, my son has autism so combing through his hair with a lice comb and getting tangled and snagging knots is really dysregulating for him. He is also sensitive to textures and smells. This lice treatment smells amazing and the greasiness doesn't bother him at all. The comb goes through his hair smoothly with this stuff. So I'd say if you have a child with Autism or sensory issues, this is definitely for you!
If you find it hard to get the greasy feel out of their hair, like other have said, a small amount of blue dawn dish soap does the trick. Dish soap does dry out the hair so condition well afterwards.

I purchased this item after reading the reviews. I was hopeful that it would be successful in treating lice. I did not find this to be mess free, as the applicator was anything but mess free, as it dripped and leaked when attempting to use it. The only thing pleasant about this product was the scent. I also did not find it to be successful, as it did not remove any Lu e from my head whatsoever, even after following the directions to a t. I would give this zero stars if that were an option, but it is not, so I am forced to give it one star.

I have tried a number of nit treatments and spent a lot of money but nothing seemed to work. I bought this hoping it would work but wasn't too hopeful. But it worked unbelievably well for both of my daughters. We are doing our second treatment tomorrow but honestly they have not scratched or complained about their head being itchy once since doing the first treatment. I'm absolutely delighted, it has been such a persistent problem for us. I have had to buy 3 packs as I was treating both my daughter and they both have very thick hair. So one bottle isn't enough for the two treatments required. But I'm happy to buy extra knowing it works so well. And if they ever end up getting nits again I will buy this straight away!

This has been the only product to completely clear my daughter of lice. She repeatedly got them for 2 months.
