Purchased 26-October-2022.Well, I'll tell you; this heater works really well. The customer support? Not so much.As seen in the pictures, the back of the heater arrived damaged but I didn't notice it until after I used it for a few evenings and a family member pointed it out when filling up. At that time, it had a couple tanks of Kerosene and a couple more of diesel fuel burn through it. If anyone has smelled either of these fuels, they have a lingering smell even after empty and dried. After noticing the damage, I called United Parcel Service and asked them what their policy is on shipping this product back, empty of course. They said due to fuel residue being inside the tank and lines, they would have to ship it back as a hazardous item and requested special drop off procedures due to such. This doesn't sound like a pleasant experience for a part that can probably be replaced. My next step was contacting the seller. First they asked if I wanted to ship it back for a refund or a discount on the product. I said I didn't want to ship it back due to the hassle and asked about the partial discount. They then asked for me to provide pictures, the part number and the item in the part catalog. They proceeded to offer me $15 off of a $400 heater. Even the part would cost more than that, shipped. That's a joke. An insult even. That MAY be fine if I was able to find the part, but NO ONE HAS REPLACEMENT PARTS.This seems to be a manufacture problem since it's been reported by other buyers. And it wouldn't be a huge deal if you can find the replacement. But no one stocks it. Which leads to believe, its a manufacture defect.Mind you, this is a needed part as it houses the temp sensor, temp adjust knob, the temp LED and directs airflow. If I have to epoxy a $400 heater just to make it last a season, It needs more compensation than a 4.5% discount. That is unacceptable.
