Besides that, all the good things others have said are correct. Fit and finish are above average for this sort of item. The tubing threads are actually properly machine - it goes together easily, joints are tight. Tilt joint has the right amount of friction. Remotes both work on both lamps; range seems a little short, but that is not necessarily bad. Light output is subjectively identical to the 150W halogen it replaced, though (very) slightly more diffuse - again, not a bad thing. Color temperature is spot on, like a halogen/incandescent. Dimmer works well. Base is very heavy. Looks good. (And yes, the cord does poke out the tube - not the base - but who's going to look at that?)
If only they made a version that worked on a different RF channel, I would buy more. I have a CFL torchiere with a busted switch, but that location is too close to these two to prevent it from turning on/off using the same remote. Hoping they fix that soon!
Update: The remote is a bit flaky and doesn't work in any of the places I wanted to stick it. It will work, but only if you are fairly close (< 10'), and only if nothing is between the remote and the lamp (such as a TV). I have 2 lamps, both remotes have the same issue, so it's not just a bad unit. So, knocking off 1 star for inadequate remote performance - not a deal breaker, but it does make an otherwise perfect product imperfect.
Also, I was not able to get mine to work with another remote switch. When power is restored, the lamp defaults to OFF, and has to be turned on using the remote. I expected this, so am not deducting any points for that, but it's too bad since that was one way for me to fix the inadequate range on the provided remote.
