I have two Ragdoll cats. One is an adult, and one is about 8 months old. We have two very large cat pans in our bathroom (one is the litter genie one, which is fantastic for large cats) and I was looking into getting a litter genie, or a litter locker, or some kind of dirty litter storage system. I couldn’t find one that I liked, and having to buy specialty bags was a con as well. The biggest thing I was finding though was that the tops of all these systems were narrow and dirty litter got all over the top. So I opted for this little can. It’s the perfect size. I love the pinkish color. It holds about a week of dirty litter for the two cats, and I can reuse all the grocery store bags that I get. I just line it with a bunch of grocery bags, and pull out two (or three) in case there’s a hole in one, so it’s double bagged. There’s no odor in the can. We use World’s Best Cat Litter, the regular formula. I e found that’s better than the multi cat formula or scented ones (though the scented ones do smell lovely). It’s also a flushable litter that’s safe for septic tanks, but I feel better about tossing the poo. I haven’t had to put a weight in the bottom to keep it from sliding around, but maybe I’ve just gotten lucky.
I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a cat litter solution that doesn’t cost much, and doesn’t require specialty bags. You could even use regular can liners if you don’t have grocery bags. It’s really a great, and pretty, little can.

Elegant and quiet lid drop!
Simple Human makes the best trash cans. For the powder room I really needed a gold finish to match the fixtures but they are unavailable at this time. However the rose gold worked because the walls are burgundy. It was absolutely imperative that the lid should close silently because this half bathroom is for a private yoga studio. The size was perfect for the limited space. I used black bin liners as the white liners look tacky on this elegantly designed bin. If there is one thing that might be improved, it’s that the rim of bag liner shows when it’s closed. That’s why white liners aren’t a good idea. Our large Simple Human trash bins in the kitchen conceal the liner. However, I’m delighted with how well it provided the essential features: silent-size-color!
