Self-watering Raised Garden Bed

Self - Watering

The Vegepod is a self-watering garden bed, meaning it utilizes a wicking system. The wick is the soil or perlite that is in contact with the water in the reservoir at the base of the garden bad. Soil uses a capillary action to draw the water upwards keeping the soil moist. A plant's roots will locate this moisture hence watering from below. Established plants can last weeks without watering and in cooler times your plants may not require water for months at a time.

Raised Garden Bed with Protective Cover, Greenhouse, Micro-climate, Protect from animals and bugs

Commercial Grade Canopy

Protects from pests and harsh weather

The VegeCover is unique to the Vegepod and is simply the best way to protect veggies. No need for pesticides or wildlife deterrents anymore. Providing a shade-rate of 17% it is ideal for keeping that harsh sun at bay and providing a superior growing environment. And the only real way to put an end to those voracious night-time predators.

Micro-climate - Promotes Rapid Growth

An advanced greenhouse material made specifically for Vegepods it allows air and water to penetrate. Unlike plastic covers that will cook your veggies on a hot day the VegeCover will protect from harsh heat.

Built-in Mist Sprayer

To make life even easier running along the top of the VegeCover is a mist-spray watering system. Just plug into a standard hose fitting and you are away. You can even attach a timer to your tap to water on extended vacations.

Vegepod Stand and Trolley - Elevate Garden Beds to Waist Height

Easily Raised to Waist Height

A huge benefit of the Vegepod Container Gardens is that they can be easily raised to waist height. The Vegepod stands and trolleys raise the container garden so that the soil is waist height (80cm). Made of galvanized and powder-coated steel the stands are not only sturdy but will last many years. The stands come flat-packed and are easily bolted together. Ensure you have a level area.

It was worth the investment!
Yes, it’s worth the money! This review is just over a year after purchasing the vegepod. Here is the setup of mine: we live in Summerlin, NV where temps do get to 110-115 in the summer. The vegepod is sitting in the patio underneath the roof. It gets morning and afternoon light with shade during 12-4pm. The winter here by Red Rock canyon gets chilly in the 20’s with very very very strong winds (50-60 mph gusts). I have bungee cords wrapped around my patio post to the top of the vegepod so it will not fly away.I did get the stand without the wheels (regretting that now) and the winter cover. I see where I could have used the wheels to move it around the patio easily for more or less shade. Now that it’s extremely heavy with 9 big bags of soil, that baby isn’t going anywhere. I did also purchase a regular shade cloth because I couldn’t buy the one that fits the top at that time and I use clothe pins to snap the shade cloth during the 2 hot months here. I also purchased the $50ish 3x3 watering system hose by Garden In Minutes along with $8 timer on my faucet. This system has worked flawlessly. My work has me home every other week and my system can keep growing without me tending to it. It really was worth the investment. The plastic has not broken down at all since buying it. Most plastics do within a few months of exposure to the sun here but I do keep it in half shade most of the time.My husband thought it was ridiculous for the price and did not want it. Despite him, I got it anyways for the purpose of growing greens (spinach in particular since the prices here are California prices for food). I picked New Zealand spinach for this climate and boy was I surprised! I do have other things in it but it’s now a jungle. That’s the only gripe my husband has now which I can handle. I have swiss chard, onions, oregano, and kale along with the spinach. Lettuce was in it but bolts way too soon due to the temps in spring and fall. Carrots do wonderful in it too. I have learned tomatoes grow best here in November, December, and January under the winter cover. My kale isn’t big but produces a lot. I now have a Brussels plant in it that has taken over with the spinach. We will see what it will do.Happy gardening!

Recently purchased the small trolley after having purchased the small and medium Vegepods and medium trolley about 2 years. It's sturdy and easy to maneuver. Both Vegepods and medium trolley have survived 2 growing seasons exposed to harsh elements, so far. The trolley was easy to put together, but the instructions could be presented more clearly. Mine were blurry and the diagrams of the pieces were hard to see. Instructions aside, it's a great product.

Absolutely fantastic bit of kit fairly easy to build only 1 problem we did not see in the instructions about the small holes in the black tray bottoms and what they were after watching a review video we found out they are overflow holes for when the trays have to much water in so make sure they are all front facing
