When I installed this foot hammock (which took all of two minutes), I told my husband, "Oh my gosh! I am in short people heaven right now!" I was able to lift up my chair so my hands rest better on my desk for typing and because that would tend to make my legs go numb, I can now rest them on the hammock and it feels so comfortable. I love how adjustable it is as far as height and the clamps work great on our custom made desk. I was concerned about the metal base but I was pleased when I took it out of the box and saw the felt.

I considered getting a foam rest that would sit on the floor but what I like about this is I can easily slide the hammock off if I want to pack it away to make the desk area look neat.

I have used it for two days and it has stayed at the length I set it.

Good hammock, clamps need work

I love having this foot hammock under my desk at work. I am the type of person that has to have my feet up under my desk (I think it’s because I’m short). This is very easy to set up and use. I didn’t put the hook on it because it wouldn’t fit on my desk if I did. The only complaint I have for this is, it has fallen off my desk twice now since I got it 4 months ago. I believe it is because of the padding on the clamps slowly “falling” off. Other than being inconvenient and surprising because my feet are on It, I would still give this a good review. It is comfortable and works really well with my angled desk and doesn’t hinder it when I raise it to the stand position.

Ok for the price but still needs work.

For the price it's ok. For $17 I can't expect too much out of it. The ropes slip and have to be tighten every couple of days and the actual mounting was really cheap. When it arrived one of the pads unscrewed from the clamp and I had to screw it back in, which isn't a big deal. What I really don't like is the there is a cheap, thin foam pad that the screw presses up against. Rather than have something rigid and solid within the pad the just let the screw press up against it which seems like it will rub through the pad and scratch my desk. Also headphone holder is just silly considering the clamp has to be positioned so that it's too far away to be practical. What I did to make it worth while is mount it upside down, drill holes through the flat part, then screw some wood it and bam, I have a little side desk for my desk for my lamp to sit on. But the metal is so cheap it bends under the weight of a 2 pound lamp, which is a bit disappointing. This would've gotten five stars if not for the bad pads on the mounts and the rope slipping.

If the manufacturer reads this here is my suggestion: Use a coarser rope to prevent slipping or something along those lines and make the pads better. Even a little ABS plastic insert would do.

Tbh, I was skeptical at first. Thought this was a gimmick item. Was debating giving this a shot versus a simple leg stand for under the desk. But it actually works quite well! I would like to note one thing though; the little rope piece to control the length wasn't as strong as I liked. I simply solved this by first making it the desirable length, then basically double tied it around the little stopper. (Wasn't going to ever travel with this since I wanted this to be permanent anyway.)

Pros:
-Basically have it any length you want. Very generous with the rope length.
-Clampers have rubber stoppers to prevent from sliding off the desk, although the tighting screw is more than enough.
-I CAN SWING my feet; leg. (Nothing wrong with relaxing!)
-Extra piece to attach your headset! (Although I didn't need this since I had a dedicated mount for mine. It comes NOT attached, in case you were wondering if you can remove that part.)

Cons:
-Little black rope piece (controls length of rope) on each opposite side of the hammock isn't as strong as I would like it to be. (Sometimes it didn't stay in place the the hammock would slowly slide lower.) *Easy fix as explained above.

I bought this product to provide a foot rest for my 10 year old son while he studied and worked at his desk.I thought this would be better than a huge foot lift taking up valuable restate under the desk. It worked well for a couple of weeks, but as any slip rope will do it started to sag more and more and i was constantly fixing the height. Again, I can't really fault the product because it's a hammock and did what it was supposed to do. It's just not ideally designed for the weight, constant movement and the weird angles that desks can have on their ends to support the hook system.
