Great Value! Worthy upgrade from Full HD.
I got this about 3 months ago and so far an pretty happy. This has an amazing picture. Leaps and bounds better than my previous Optoma HD26 projector which was 1080p and non hdr with a 100 inch screen in a totally dark room with a 1.0 gain matte white screen at about 8 feet. The HDR looks pretty good. I ordered the factory certified refurbished unit for 1000$.I do have two problems so far. First is the focus nob is a little tricky to get set just right. Not a huge deal, but annoying. Second, when the unit is plugged in, but off for a few days when I start it up again the screen just displays an image with lots of noise and no real image. I have to unplug it and wait for a minute and plug it back in. Hope this isn't a sign that I got a bad unit with limited life. So far I am pretty satisfied with the value of getting a 4k projector for 1000$. Even though technically the projector uses a trick to make it 4k, it is still displaying the same amount of pixels a 4k one would, just some of the pixels are "faked" I think you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between this and "true 4k." Thats pretty amazing to me. It was definitely a worthy upgrade over 1080p.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fan/Color Wheel Noise Gone, Thanks Viewsonic, Eye Popping Super Colors
Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2020
I'm now using a 2.5 gain {ALR} Ambient Light Rejection screen with my new Viewsonic PX727-4K/HDR10 2200 Lumens projector, RGBRGB color wheel, Rec. 709/{I'm Using YUV 422 12-bit Rec. 2020 Via My Shield TV Console}. A 2.5 gain {ALR} screen x 2200 ansi lumens = 5,500 ansi lumens giving my PX727 an additional 3,300 ansi lumens of light power increase, via my {ALR} screen. Also giving me an advantage over the Viewsonic PX747-4K/HDR10 3,500 Lumens projector and the Optoma UHD 60/Optoma UHD 65. My 5,500 ansi lumens Viewsonic PX727-4K/HDR10 projector with the 2.5 gain {ALR} screen gives me high upscale contrast color definition details, next level video resolution quality. {Notice this projector works with the blinds wide open with sunlight coming through the window}, see photos below. All source video is through my Pioneer vsx-lx103 AVR with all 1080p video being auto upscale to 4K, it has all the current video/audio codecs/decoders on board, my source video, Shield TV Console, Roku 4K TV Stick, Amazon Fire 4K TV Stick, Chromecast Ultra 4K/HDR10 and my Windows 10 4K laptop PC. All video/audio is also ran through this device to https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZNKF7C8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ..! I don't know what Viewsonic did,but all fan/color wheel noise is now gone from the PX727-4K/HDR10 projector ..!
