I find this cat house...appealing
I bought this for my twelve pound cat Bandit. He is particular about what he likes to sleep in, making it difficult for me. I have tried beds that were fully enclosed with a hole, but he wasn't a fan of them. Upon discovery of the banana, he seemed intrigued. The first night I noticed he checked it out, but would not go in it (that can be normal for cats, and if you try to push something on them, then they end up disliking it). The next day I noticed him inspecting it around his afternoon nap time. I had placed it on a dresser near the bedroom window. He crawled in with only his tail hanging out. I ordered the XL because he actually seems to like stretching out when he sleeps, rather than a cat liking to be tucked in. If you have a cat that likes being tucked in, I would go with the smaller size. I did have several thoughts on the quality of the banana house. One thing I noticed that I did not like was the flimsiness of the material. It will sort of flop over a little bit, and annoys my OCDness. Not a huge deal. The other thing that I did not like, and was minus a star, was the material. It really does not seem like the best quality. It is pretty thin and feels a bit cheap. I also noticed that the bottom of the banana is not thickly padded, which is hard to see unless you are actually looking at the product in person. So while I had wanted to place this on top of a dresser, the lack of padding makes it not comfortable for my cat, and would be better off laying on top of a softer surface (which is annoying). So the issue is that you trade the cuteness and looks for comfort and good quality material. With the price, I think they should use better material. Sort of like when you wear something you look great in, but isn't the most comfortable. The problem is that now it is my cat's comfort versus how it looks cute in my house; both of which are important to me. So my advice for the company would be the invest in better material! The concept is great, as well as design. But while cat owners love the cuteness, they also want the comfort for their cat (and I think it would also make the product look more upscale and not a slight air of cheapness, since the price is not cheap).

At the beginning it looks so small, but my daughter washed it out and let dry by itself for 3 days and revealed its true shape 👌🏼. All 4 cats 🐈 take turns to lay in it 🫠, they love it.

My cat loves sleeping inside of it and playing with it. From the first time I set it on the floor! Before she got spayed she peed on it and it held its shape well through several washes. I didn’t expect it to be this big lol but that was my bad!
