Update, I was wrong about the pedals. They were correct. Right side is reverse thread.
Assembly instructions were hard to follow since I didn’t know the name of most of the parts, so get some help! Everything will need tweaking too; after assembly a friend (and experienced rider) helped me adjust both brakes and and the gear system. So I’d recommend finding a local shop or experienced rider to help you true everything up and share some pro tips.
BIKE: This bike is really great. I would rate it a 5, if assembly wasn't a 2. More on that later.
The bike is really sharp looking, very comfortable, and overall a pretty good deal for the money.
The components are more than capable.
The thing I like best is the positioning of the handle bars and the seat, and the way the bike keeps you upright during a ride. I have been riding my mountain bike on the Rail Trail with my nephew lately, and that thing just puts me in the wrong position.
This bike is built for comfort.
The seat is so nice, I didn't notice it.
The handle grips are just right.
I looked and looked before finally buying, and I'm really glad I found this, I think it's going to be perfect for casual, rail trail riding.
Plus, it's sharp. Looks really nice, has fenders and a chain guard! Something I haven't had on a bike since I was a kid. 5 out of 5 for the bike itself.
ASSEMBLY: This is what drove the review down a bit. Just such a poor job by the manufacturer. But, YOU CAN DO THIS. Don't be intimidated.
The owner's manual is worthless, don't even bother.
You can YouTube some videos, but they are only really suggestions, since there isn't a video that shows this exact bike being assembled, just something similar. I would say watch them, for some reference, but don't rely on them.
The best thing you can do is look at the picture of it assembled.
You will need an allen wrench set, and a metric socket set, or an adjustable wrench.
When you unpack it, the handle bars, while attached, are not in the correct position you will need, so just understand that, and adjust it.
Same with the seat and seat post. Just loosen then, adjust them, and re-tighten them.
Everything else is pretty easy, IF you have all the parts. I did not. I was shorted an acorn axle nut, and really couldn't put the front tire on without it. Asked a question to see what size I should get, it never got answered, and the guy at Lowe's tried to sell me a standard size nut, so I just left. Everything on this bike is definitely metric. I guessed the axle nut to be 10m (or 10 mm), but I guessed fine thread and that didn't fit, so I guess it's just a regular thread on a 10m. I don't know, I ended up cannibalizing an old BMX bike my kid had in the garage, seems that axle nuts are pretty universal.
But, just look at the pictures, take pictures of what you have, before you adjust, so you can go back to how it was, if you are visual person. You can do it.

Bike seat - the tube faces the wrong way - loosen the nut on the right (looking at the bottom of the seat, pipe down) several turns until the teeth loosen enough to allow you to click the pipe towards you. Drop the seat onto the bike, and angle it so it is level to the pavement and retighten.
Attaching the fender - do not use a screwdriver - use an alan wrench. The screws were attached too tightly to the frame, and you WILL strip them. Loosen with an alan wrench first, and be careful, you can strip them even with an alan wrench.
The Caliper brakes will stop you from attaching the front tire, and are not mentioned in the instructions. Examine the spot where the wire connects the two sides of the brake calipers - you will notice a metal bracket captures a steel drum on the line, with a rubber dingy next to it. Pinch the calipers towards each other and pull the metal drum out to separate the brakes. Place your tire in. You will likely not be able to reattach the drum to the bracket of the calipers as the tire takes up too much space. Use your 5 hex wrench on the nut to the right to allow more tension. Be careful, on both of my bicycles, the wire caps were improperly crimped and fell off as soon as touched, leaving sharp, frayed metal wires exposed.
I would not have purchased these bikes had I seen the instructions first.
Update: (I had purchased 2)
First bike right side pedal ripped out on 4th bike ride, the metal threading completely sheered out. Bike repair shop laughed and said it's not worth a repair.
Update: 6th bike ride, second bike right side pedal ripped out, completely sheering the threading out. These bicycles should be considered single-use.

P.S.- I was impressed with the follow up by Amazon and the Schwinn company with respect to my 'Suburban Blues' complaints. Amazon reimbursed me $100 for damages and the Schwinn people gifted me a new wheel, wheel nuts and hopefully the rear fender will arrive soon. The blues have gone away for another day!
Respectfully yours; Jack

Fail to understand why an item would require so much adjustments that a small engine technician such as myself couldn’t accomplish!
