Well! First, it's a GORGEOUS color. I've been looking for an actual orange-orange like this -- and I found it!
...but! It's a massive pain in the butt to get to work. I've played with bottom layers, layer times (on up to 15 seconds per with 2 seconds off time) -- everything.
I have a Photon S. Files that work well with every other resin, fail with this. Re-sliced for this resin with the above settings? It's a 50/50 shot. Fine supports *WILL NOT WORK*. Period. 100% fail with every model with light supports. Of the dozen things I've tried to print, I've gotten 2 that came out correct. One came out -- aside from where there was a light support to make the weasel's tail. The rest? Failures. So, most of this bottle has gone in the trash, along with one FEP film where I could *NOT* get the stuck print off without damaging it.
I will not be buying this resin again, sadly.
UPDATE!: ...yeah, so I threw the rest of the bottle away. I had 40% or so left, but, I mean, with this many problems? It's not worth it.
I've been fighting with this resin for a days and attempted to print several different models. I've tried many different exposure times ranging from bottom times of 25 seconds to over a minute, and other layer times between 5 and 9. The resin cures soft and refuses to stick to the build plate. Most models will eventually fall off the build plate and end up a mass in the reservoir as seen in the photos. The one model that did stick was the small demo ring print that shipped with the printer. And even that one peeled up around the edges and slid off the plate with almost no effort.
I don't know if there a problem with the resin itself, or if there is too much dye in it to keep it from hardening, or it's something else. It's possible it's a bad batch. I have had great success with the Rapid Grey. I am only having troubles with the black.
I've exchanged several emails with Monoprice support but no suggestion has worked. Support has been very responsive to the requests.
Updating my rating from 1* to 3*.
I was finally able to get it to print and when it did, the results were good. Smaller models (15mm) printed with 75s base layers and 7 second upper layers. On larger models (40mm) required longer times. I had good results with 300s, and bad at 90s. Monoprice support eventually recommended 25s base layers with 5s after that. It worked for the smaller models, though the edges of the base were loose and curled slightly. Larger models wouldn't stick on that setting.
