Great concept, poor product
4 Stars
Great concept, poor product
Update: The seller reached out and offered a refund which I gladly accepted. They also mentioned they are working to improve the product. I am changing my rating from 2 stars to 4 for the great customer service.I was looking for a phone holder for my car and also something to make holding my iPhone 8 Plus easier, so when i came across this listing it looked like the perfect item. In concept it’s a great idea, except the ring is not comfortable and it gets loose so fast that it makes my phone move like crazy while in the vent. It’s super annoying. The one “good” thing I guess I can say about it is that it does stick really well. I just tried to take it off my Otterbox case and it wouldn’t come off; I had to pry it off with a screwdriver and even then, it wasn’t easy. It sucks my case is probably ruined though.

I was skeptical initially about how this would be, but it’s actually turned out better than expected. I was using a pop socket forever before this and that helped tremendously to cut down on my carpal tunnel pain. I can hold the phone at the same angles with this as the pop socket, but it definitely feels different, as this is a ring. The ring is wide and definitely makes it a little awkward to steady it with a finger. Would be nice if it fit a finger better. Works great in the car when I’m driving as it easily attaches to my air vent. And holds up well as a stand

Update: since writing this, both of the stands they sent me have broken. On one of them, the ring broke right away, but I let it slide because I had the other one. It lasted about a month, and then the ring broke on that one. And the backing won’t come off my phone so I can’t put something in its place. I won’t buy this again.

I have only had this phone ring for 4 days, so I cannot comment on the longevity. I had originally searched for a case with the phone ring already built in but couldn't find one for my phone that I liked. This is a great value because you get two, so I gave one to my husband. The 3m backing was easy to apply and has held up great so far. I love that it doubles as a vent clip so I don't have to worry about a magnet wearing out over time. If I had it to do over again, I would have centered it on the back of my phone case (I put it down a lil lower where I hold it most often), but don't want to remove it and compromise the hold. The only down fall is that your phone does not lay flat with the ring, but this has not been an issue for me. It swivels a full circle, and I have used it as a kickstand for viewing videos and it holds the weight of my phone no problem. Best phone rings on Amazon!

Great use for such a ring. I loved the idea of a ring as I have used one on my older phone and so I was glad to learn I could use it as a phone holder. It does the phone hold well and sticks firm in the vent. However, the sticky part will remove without warning. I ended up destroying my 3.5mm jack adapter on my new iPhone x. The sticky part does really hold up. Just make sure to check it once in a while whiles you're holding the phone.

I hate pop sockets but love the idea of them so I began searching for an alternative and came across these holders. I was so excited to get my hands on these after reading all the other reviews, but unfortunately after using it for a few weeks, I've realized it's not nearly as amazing as others have stated it to be. First, it doesn't stay on any of the vents in our vehicles (Tahoe & Ram 1500) nor friends/family vehicles we've ridden in since we got them. Secondly, the swivel on both of them are super loose so even when you set the phone down on a hard surface, it rolls over and goes "flat". It doesn't hold the phone up at all. Overall, it doesn't work as stated, and because of that, I'm returning them. I could've gotten a defective pack, but either way I won't be repurchasing to find out.

This is absolutely the best device I’ve found for multiple reasons and uses! First, it does what it says it does and holds itself in your car vent. Works both vertically and horizontally!
Second, the ring stays on! I’ve learned to use my phone while holding the ring, not only has it saved my phone from dropping when I’ve been startled, my kids cannot take the phone out of my hands... which is good because it’s all mine! Not for kids!
The ring hold the phone at an angle when I need it, AND, most importantly, when I carry my phone it’s with the ring. At night I can carry more to go upstairs and I’m not dropping my phone. My keys have hooked on the ring to keep the most important things I carry together...
Just all around the best invention!
For the 10 months I’ve had one ring on one case and nothing has broken or worn down. I love the plastic cover on the rings... it’s softer to hold.

The two phone rings came exactly as described. After slightly cleaning the back of my phone I was able to easily attach (stick) the phone ring on. The adhesive has been strong enough to hold my phone on its own with no issues. For example, it hangs on my finger while I'm holding onto my coffee. I love the fact that I can use this as a phone stand in both portrait and landscape view. Another great thing that sets this phone ring aside from other rings I've tried is that it's not "free-turning," in other words, it doesn't just spin around freely, the user will have to actually turn the ring into position (very easily) and it will stay in that position, hence allowing it to work as a phone stand. I LOVE this aspect of this phone ring. Overall, I highly recommend this product for anyone considering using a phone ring.

Suggestion: Try to position your hand/fingers holding your phone first to determine where you think the ring will be most suitable for your use, because there is no repositioning of the ring once you stick it on.

I have had this for quite a while. I prefer the ring to a pop up because it's easier to keep ahold of my phone and doesn't rip off going into my pocket. The two ring are nice and stays on the air vent in the car just fine. However, it quickly looses all tension an unless you can lean it on it will just flip upside down.
