Senca Solar Sonic repellent offers a poison-free way to drive away moles, gophers, mice, voles, snake and other rodents. Every 30 seconds, sonic pulses penetrate the soil, emitting a penetrating sound which is irritating to moles and gophers who are virtually blind and extremely sensitive to sound and vibrations. This method encourages moles to leave the property, and the solar operated spike continues to discourage return visits.

I had a area of chipmunk holes and tunnels in my backyard. I put one spike into the ground in the center of the holes about 3 weeks ago. I have seen no evidence that the holes are being used anymore as grass clippings, etc have accumulated in the holes. The spike is all the way into the ground as far as it can go and I can mow over it with no problems. I can still hear it working. I only gave it 4 stars for value as I had to buy a four-pack. I have three unused spikes.

I purchased 2 of the 4 packs to cover my 1 1/2 acre lot under the impression that it would help to deter snakes as well as moles. However, it does NOT work for snakes, found a large black snack laying right next to one of the sonic senca's and yes it was working and you could hear the hum from it..as for working on the moles, I haven't seen any new evidence that they are still around so only time will tell on that one.

This is absolutely worthless. I inserted one of these at the end of a new mole tunnel after fully charging it. The next day the mole dug right around the unit and continued on as if nothing was amiss.

I put all four units in a row about 20' apart in hopes of deterring the moles from any further digging in my yard. It now looks like a battlefield with mole tunnels all around the four units.

This is a total waste of money and I am very disappointed in the honesty of the people that were giving this a five star rating. Makes me wonder if those ratings are all fabricated.

This is much better alternative to nasty smelling products for the yard. We live on a lake, and we don't want those products running into the water supply. These little things DO emit a "beep", which bothered two of my dogs. It sounds like their perimeter collar barrier warning! So I moved them out a little bit. Problem solved. The transmission distance is impressive. But of course, I'd have to ask a snake how far away he could detect it!
