    All in all. Not too bad of a deal for the money. The only issue I have with this product is the edge beveler. Its completely useless. As if the mold was messed up. I hope the pictures help! P.S. the latex finger things are a joke.

    Very impressed with this leather tool set for the price. This is great for either a beginner just wanting to get a good starting set of tools and stitching or for a seasoned leather crafter. For the price you cannot purchase these separately and save money. Expect these to last a long time with proper care and keeping them stored in my leather making tool box.

    I purchased this because I wanted a stitching pony and the rolling spikey wheels. (The name escapes me at the moment.). I also thought having a cutting mat the size of the one included might be nice.

    The design of the pony looked better than the ones sold individually. The price of this entire kit was roughly the cost of many of the stitching ponies sold separately. We haven't used it yet but it feels sturdy enough and the mechanisms operate smoothly.

    The cutting mat is an actual cutting mat - I have heard that sometimes when people order mats online they get cheap plastic pieces that warp and wear out. This is exactly what it should be. (I haven't checked the measurements printed on the surface but sometimes you just have to trust)

    The needles seem extra cheap - but that could be my own attitude creeping in. I think counting a pack of seven needles as seven pieces is tacky. We will have to see when we actually use them.

    The waxed artificial sinew is not as nice as the stuff Tandy sells at a much higher cost. I tugged pretty hard on a length of it and it didn't break.

    The wheels that I wanted are fine - very spikey and they roll freely.

    I looked at all the pieces I didn't need and they all seemed fine.

    TL:DR
    Less than half the price of Tandy brand stuff but more than half the quality.

    I'm just trying to get started in leather working, and this kit provides a good many tools that make it easier to fabricate things in leather. You'll still need stamps, and of course, leather, but it's a great collection of "needable" tools.

    This was a Christmas gift for my husband. He loved it. It's a great starter kit. The only thing that was that the tools are just dumped in a box with no explanation of the purpose of each does. A guide would have been nice, along with a more organized presentation. Other than those two pounts, it was a good purchase to get started.

    Decent starter set, but you will need a few other tools to do anything approaching good work. I would not even recommend starting with only this set because you will learn some bad habits. Buy a GOOD diamond awl, and pricking punches are also cheap and much easier to use than the wheels once they are sharpened. The cutting mat is a cutting mat. The stitching pony is where this kit shines.

    Update. The screw holding the back of the mechanism stripped out and it wouldn't lock. I drilled through the block and replaced the screws with bolts, much better now.
