Great unit at a great price . You can purchase this product and know that it will do what it advertises to do. I had a hard time deciding on which product to buy based on the reviews, but I'm happy that I selected the Zonoz. I did not receive any promotion from the company. I paid full price and was happy with what I bought.
The resolution is good, digital colors match well the film one, Even though the transparency media leaves you with a lot of post work to digitally match real life colors specially for skin tone and some very bright ekta/koda chrome colors like red and green. The scanner helps you to do a quick work on scanning and storing in the SD card, then you can edit in the PC, I haven't used the edit capabilities built in the scanner.
One low feature is the format, it uses JPG as image storage default, I will prefer for this project to have PNG or RAW files to not use a info loss format from the beginning, but again, if you have a lot of pictures and want to do it fast and good ( not perfect) this is a good choice. Then you can select the very important slides and scan again with a more professional grade scanner as EPSON or other.
The size is compact and easy to use, the adaptor matches well any slide thickness I've tried, but the screen should be placed at eyes level to work well, the LCD doesn't have an angle so you can't have a good view in a lower eye level, this is something to improve in the device design. The casing, buttons and controls are a little retro but works fine for me, the scan - insert -scan process for continous slides is a two button operation that could be improved as a 1 click one, but a box of 25 slides once you catch the use of the interface and the mechanics should take 5 minutes.
I've uploaded some pictures, resolution and colors are good, consider these comes from a Ektachrome film taken more than 60 years ago.
As conclusion is a good compact and economic scanner that should be part of your film to digital tools.

Ergonimics of the design is very poor. Unless you prop the scanner on a box in front of you on your desk, you have to tip the unit back to clearly see the screen.
I knew the quality would be far less than perfect...just had no idea how far.
I'm returning the scanner within a few hours of receiving it.
