Well Designed, Compact Endoscope
I can confidently review this Uniojo borescope thanks to the benefits of Amazon Prime, in that it's relatively easy to purchase a few similar items and compare them extensively at my leisure.I originally neeeded an borescope when I needed to see what's behind wall number1 when doing some electrical wiring. I purchased this Uniojo borescope, along with one that plugs into the USB port on the cell phone, along with a WiFi endoscope, as well as a unit that has a 360 degree rotatable camera. Following is my decision making process.1. Zealtron 360 Degree Rotation Dual Lens Endoscope Older version): This is a good quality unit, the picture is bright, crisp and clear, and the LEDs very bright. The gooseneck I was able to extend it out to around 4' at a 45 degree angle without drooping. The rotatable camera endoscope head was too big and long to be able to easily bend and insert into a hole drilled in a wall. A much larger hole would have to been drilled or cut, and then patched up. The snake is 10' long. I realized that I don't need that length. Else, it's a very good tool for those that need it.2. BlueFire Dual Lens WiFi Endoscope. What impressed me the most is that the snake was very rigid and easily bendable. The image quality was very good, but it has a rechargeable battery. In researching Lithium Ion batteries, I found they usually have a shelf life of 5 years. Letting the battery waste away by not using it often gives it a shorter shelf life. It's nice to be able to not have to hold the cell phone and the snake at the same time. WiFi allows you to place the phone within sight and use two hands to maneuver the snake. WiFi guarantees compatibility across phones. Overall, good quality, but the 16' cable was difficult to maneuver.3. Klein ET16 Borescope. It comes with a short USB micro and type C cable. It uses your phone's battery for power. Quality is excellent, the snake is stiff buy bendable, but the short cable to the phone is too short. Add $7 for a 3' extension. The thing I did not like is that the software had to be downloaded for the unit to be used. So what happens when Klein doesn't publish or update the software? You'll have to shop around for a generic app.4. UNIOJO camera: The one I'm keeping: The unit comes in a small, compact package. The snake is relatively rigid and only 1 meter (39") long. I realized that I'm not going to be snaking a 10' or more of an HVAC duct. My main purpose was to search behind a wall for wiring or pipes. A long 10' or more snake would be overkill; I would normally get up close to where I'm scoping out. A 39" snake is quite adequate. The unit has dual lenses; to see around, just rotate the snake. The unit has a control to brighten up the screen, a feature other units did not have. The snake wraps around the control unit and the camera end tucks neatly away. The unit also uses AA Alkaline batteries, or rechargeable batteries. Having Alkaline batteries means that if the unit was not used for a long time I wouldn't have to wait 2 hours to recharge the batteries.Overall, this unit easily meets my needs. I don't need a 16' snake, I don't need to recharge the batteries, I don't need to worry about compatibility with cell phones and the unit is easy to store in my toolbag.The Uniojo Dual Lens Borescope is highly recommended.

Great compact Borescope. Easy to use. Screen is nice and clear and easy to see. I love the compact size and carrying case. The included accessories are great as well. Many uses from automotive, marine, and home use. I used this to run wires for my home theater through the walls. It made installation so much easier as I could see in my walls! I have also used this to find some items "hidden" behind my sons bed that were trapped there for over a year! Yikes. The zoom feature is also handy. And yes, a color screen! So cool. Overall this is a great little unit and works very well. I can't see beating this for the price. So many features and super affordable. I highly recommend this unit!
