Awesome for the price!
So I left this in the box for like 8 months then I finally took it out and plugged it in, and everything worked great except for the mic. I found the paperwork which stated a 2 year warranty and went to power a website and submitted a ticket with my issue. I didn't expect anything, but they responded after a few business days! Apparently if you plug the controller into a windows computer you can download a firmware update, so I did that and it FIXED the issue! The controller works flawlessly now the headset has great sound for the mic people are telling me it's a huge improvement from my old controller, it's very comfortable, all the buttons work awesome. Love it. THANK YOU power a!!!

* The button clicking is a little mushy (Clicking the buttons on the original XBOX controller have a really responsive clicky feel, this is a bit softer in that feedback). It's not bad, you just need to get used to it.

Overall, it's really good value for what you get. Highly recommend!

I am a guy that truly enjoys wired controllers because I have a better latency and don’t have the issue of controller lag. This controller is a great back up controller for the one that I typically use which is the razor wolverine ultimate for my Xbox. The advanced buttons are a great feature because I use them for ANB buttons while gaming. No they are not the most durable controllers. This black one is my second one I did previously only green. After about three months of heavy use the advanced gaming button on the back of the green controller did push all the way in and snap off. As well as the left trigger was beginning to fail. The best thing about this controller is it does give you the pro controller feel. As well as giving you an option for a very cheap version for a pro controller. I would highly recommend these controllers to anyone that just starting pro gaming. Do not expect these to be the most durable and most amazing pro controllers on the market because they’re not they’re meant to be a really nice cheap back up.

Reason I didn’t give 5 stars: The headphone/mic jack DOES work, but it appeared broken at first. The reason for this is that the microphone amplification network in these controllers contains an autogain phase. This phase amplifies the white noise (not uncontrollably, you won’t annoy other people in your party at all), thus “tricking” the Xbox into thinking you’re always talking. In games like Warzone, you can adjust the threshold for “talking” in the Options menu, but it’s super annoying if you play in Xbox parties with voice overlay or in other games without threshold adjustment. Don’t be alarmed, your team can hear you, but the indicator never goes away.

Review:

I had a bad habit of breaking PS3 controllers when I was younger, so I never bought new ones. Eventually, I found the PowerA wired version, and they were BETTER than the original PS3 controllers, so I bought as many as I could find. I’ve been a PowerA customer since. I don’t know if I’d call the Xbox ones better: the buttons don’t feel as quality (however, the button pushed is always correct, unlike some other budget controllers) and the controller “body” is larger. The joysticks are much better than any other third-party controller I’ve tried, but not identical to Microsoft controllers. I had to increase the deadzone on my Warzone settings to limit jerking around the screen, but that “problem” indicates high-sensitivity (read “higher quality”) sticks versus other cheap controllers with already-wide (and non-adjustable) mechanical deadzones.

The buttons on the back make up for the larger frame, since you can assign them to LB and RB and not need to move your fingers. This is the only practical use I’ve found for them, though, as they don’t do well enough being held down to replace the paddles. It’s super easy to assign them, but they don’t feel all that sturdy. Regardless, still a very nice feature to have.

Overall, I highly recommend these controllers. I think they’re a fine replacement for Microsoft controllers but don’t necessarily supersede them; for roughly half the price, though, there’s no reason to buy Microsoft controllers unless you need wireless. Easily the best third-party controllers I’ve purchased for the Xbox One.

PS, they worked out of the box for me on my Windows 10 PC, no driver installation needed. I don’t use them for anything, just wanted to test them.

En realidad me gustaría dejar un 4.5 de estrellas, pero no me lo permite amazon, así que redondeo. Como primeras impresiones, es que está bastante bien, la calcamonía no viene tan genérica y no se ve tan mal como aparenta la fotografía (yo me hicem del spider lightning, porque es enviado por amazon México y no batallas con las aduanas). (yo lo uso en pc, así que no sé si me pierda de algo al no usarlo en xbox). No hay color si se compara con uno original, el original es mejor. Pero tiene aspectos positivos que el original no tiene (obviamente el precio, facilmente te compras dos controles powerA con el precio de uno original). Por ejemplo, con el PowerA la sensación de los botones es mejor, al menos yo que soy más de jugar juegos de aventura y estilo hack and slash, es mucho mejor que el control de xbox one original. El control original es tu opción si tu género favorito son los shooters o juegos de conducción, pero el powerA me parece mucho mejor para juegos de aventuras o peleas.

Por el precio, está muy bien. Siempre con los controles genéricos tienes la incertidumbre que no sea tan responsivo como el original, o que se sienta "sloppy" o "clunky", pero al menos en los juegos que lo he probado no ha sido mi caso (Rocket league, bloodstained, dark souls). La respuesta de control me es más satisfactoria que incluso cuando era nuevo mi control original. Además que los botones extras son un gran añadido, es algo que bien aprovechado te da mucha ventaja en ciertos juegos. (Puedes programar cualquier botón, lo cual está de lujo).

Claro, son primeras impresiones. Muchos dicen que sus controles no les duran, sobre todo con los genéricos. Pero también he conocido muchos gamers que chale, pobres controles, también como quieren que les dure si los tratan sin respeto y le presionan los botones irresponsablemente rudo. Así como les van a durar las cosas.

Otra cosa a recalcar son los materiales de construcción. Son buenos, no excelentes como el original, los joysticks no tienen una goma tan suave como el original, pero al menos se sienten que se sujetan mejor a tus pulgares. No se ve tan robusto y se siente más ligero que el original, no es inalámbrico, y traté de ponerle un cable micro usb más corto, pero no lo logré. De allí en fuera, considero que es un muy buen control si eres responsable con el control.

En fin, si no actualizo mi reseña, es que todo bien. Además tiene como garantía de dos años, aunque habrá que leer las letras pequeñas.
