For best accuracy, use 3DFitBud for continuous and consistent walking activity and carry with good stability. The 3D sensor relies on feeling the movement and impact of steps to count accurately.

Using a pedometer in the following conditions may affect accuracy: carrying loosely, using solely indoors, stationary exercises, holding in hand, using with a walking aid, and taking slow or light steps.

The essential 10-step error prevention feature prevents irregular non-walking movements from being falsely counted as steps. The sensor will start or resume counting steps after taking 10 consecutive steps. All steps taken before it begins or resumes counting will be added as long as walking continues. From the 10th step, the step counter will resume counting, i.e. 11, 12, 13, etc.

Pretty accurate. I counted 20 steps and it counted it as 25. Not bad I guess. I want two openings though!!! Why does that not exist?

I've used this for several months now. The battery is still going strong. The numbers are nice and big, I've personally counted the steps and found it has a high accuracy. It is very durable too. I've thrown this in my pocket with my keys, or phone, or misc items. It does just fine. The clip that comes with it is very easy to slide on and off, plus the clip is strong to put on your shorts. I do recommend it. The bonus is it is a straight forward pedometer that doesn't require any connections, sign-ups, wifi.. nothing. It is a straightforward pedometer and pedometer only that works great.

I am a long-time dedicated walked, and have used pedometers for over 10 years. I walk 10 - 20 miles a day between my job, my walks to/from work, and my walks for enjoyment. I first found this model 3 years ago, having used a different brand exclusively. As soon as I switched to this model I saw a big difference in accuracy, durability, long battery life, and clarity of seeing the steps taken. The first one worked flawlessly with only a couple of battery changes until most recently when it "went nuts" which I took to mean I had work it out. I immediately got a new one, and am happy to give a glowing review. I would rate it all 10 stars if I could. Plus, I LOVE supporting a small family business that created this product.

This is a decent little pedometer. I keep it in my pocket and it is pretty accurate with the steps. The reset button does not work well. The instructions say to press for 3 seconds to reset. This usually does not work. Sometimes I can get it to reset by trying multiple times, up to 5 or 6 times, but sometimes I've had to actually open it and remove the battery to reset it.

I reviewed pedometers for three days before buying. The differences among, say the top 8 brands, is amazingly different and complicated. Finally I knew what I wanted, and it still took another day to narrow the field. This 3Dfitbud was my choice. I'm a senior and want to judge my daily walking. First, I learned to ignore all the hype about "accuracy." It doesn't matter from one day to the next. Each day is relative to the ones before. That's enough. That reduced the field a great deal no longer needing to measure my stride, figure out how to enter it in the pedometer, and so on. Second, the most complicated pedometers have the smallest type face and windows.
I need to easily see what it says, so that reduced the field even more. Third, I don't own a "smart" phone and have no need for all that other "medical" information. The cost is for this 3dfitbud, and that's it. I just want a relevant measure from one day to the next of my walking. Fourth, it has a 10 step hurdle so it doesn't count "couch" movement, etc. Works for me; some don't like it. Forget what some reviews say. It clips to your pants, and it doesn't come off. You can put it in your pocket or wear around your neck. And the results are within 15% of each other. I tested them all. Again, if you wear it the same way, its relevant. Switch from pants to neck, your numbers will be less meaningful. Finally its easy to read with really BIG numbers. It doesn't store them day after day. Take it off at night, write down the number, push the reset button the back, and you are ready to go tomorrow. It beckons. My normal before was about 4800 steps. With just a little resolve, I'm up to 8000-12000 steps a day in one week. I like that result. And by the way, if you haven't thought about it, each leg is counted. Right forward, left forward, is two steps :)
