Increase your overall health & fitness with our 1st Generation Pro Series Power Cage | Be HulkFit!

The problem with living a sedentary lifestyle and our solution | The benefits of a healthy lifestyle

Your body and mind don't work at full capacity when you don't keep them occupied with a quality exercise routine. A quality workout not only makes your body stronger, but it makes your mind more resilient, builds your confidence, and improves your mental health.

The Pro Series Power Cage is a functional piece of exercise equipment that is designed to give you a safe environment to exercise in and it will be a perfect addition to your home or garage gym. The multi-functional power rack will give you variety to your workout routine. You can complete multiple types of training that include:

  • Strength training (Weightlifting tools include - barbell, weight plates, and dumbbells; helps with functional strength)
  • Bodyweight training
  • Resistance training (Exercise bands and straps; used to warm-up and recover from lifting weights)
  • Circuit training (Example - 3 - 5 exercises performed in rotation; great for martial arts and other combat sports)
  • Station to station (3 - 5 sets of repetitions per exercise)

This power cage allows you to perform exercises to help increase muscularity and overall fitness of your entire body, what we like to call your "Core 4", which includes:

  • Arms (Example - bench press)
  • Legs (Example - squats)
  • Back (Example - rows)
  • Core (Example - knee raises)

How we differ from the competition...

Many competitors have released power racks for home gym set ups with a less stable frame that feature 2” x 2” upright poles and ineffective brackets to connect the frame. We responded by adding thicker gauge steel and increased the width and depth of the upright poles, which are 2.35” x 2.35”. We also included more accessories. The 1st Generation Pro Series Power Cage package includes:

  • (1) Power Cage
  • (2) Circle Dip Bars
  • (1) Multi-grip Pull Up Bar
  • (2) Safety Bars with J Hooks or (2) Safety Straps with J Hooks

Safety bars or straps are absolutely necessary when weightlifting without a spotter. Safety straps inherently provide more safety because of its ability to absorb shock during weight drop compared to traditional safety bars, which don't have slack to them. The barbell when dropped on a safety bar will bounce and the non-rigid design of straps allows shock to be spread across the length of the strap.

Possibilities are endless with just a little bit of creativity!

You can add larger strength training attachments like the Cable Crossover and Lat Pulldown machine, which we specifically designed to attach to the Pro Series Power Cage. Other smaller accessories you can add onto the squat rack are:

  • Barbell Holders
  • J Hooks
  • Spotter Arms
  • Weight plate holders

The Weight Capacity is 800 lb on the Power Cage alone.

Customers are mixed about the fit of the weight rack. Some mention that it fits in their garage just perfectly, is sturdy, and has nice included options. However, others say that the holes line up in the end, the safety bars fit fine, and that it's compact enough to be in their basement. Some customers also say that they had to guess which ones went in certain spots, and the larger non standard post size limits purchase of accessories. Good rack for the money, needs extra work for best stability.
4 Stars
Good rack for the money, needs extra work for best stability.
I just assembled the Hulkfit Power Cage. The package arrives in a long 8 foot box wrapped in plastic wrap. The insides are adequately protected except for the ends of the long poles. A few of my end brackets were bent and required some massaging to get back to near straight (see pic). Overall assembly was easy, but to make it right, extra hardware was needed. Read on.1. I think the cage is worth the money spent. But some extra elbow grease is needed to get it right, especially if you are a little OCD like me.2. The package was missing one pull up bar grip. I included pics.3. You will need more than one person for the best results in assembly. The unit was pretty wobbly and not level after assembly and tightening of all bolts. We did use a level during the tightening process. The fit of the upright poles to the base bars and top bars was quite loose. The upright poles connections were too wide. (As I said, some also required re- bending before assembly). I needed to add washers to all of the inside of the connections, and also I added washers to the outside to increase stability. It is still a bit off level but much improved. The washers improved the lateral stability a lot, but it is still not enough for my liking. I am going to add 90 degree corner stabilizers to the back corners with brackets or bar stock and drilling / bolting them to the inside of the frame. I will post pics of that later on.Hulkfit may wish to consider adding something like this for lateral stability in the future. As it is, the top and bottom horizontal brace in the back, situated at the top and bottom and bolted horizontally instead of vertically just allows for too much wiggle. It would probably be ok for light weights. But when increasing weights, that lateral instability becomes a safety issue in my opinion. Some of the J hooks are a bit crooked on the welds, but all the welds appear to be adequate. I wish the J hooks had a bit more of an upward angle, but they appear to be doing their job so far.Lining up the uprights and ensuring good fit with the safety bars *as you assemble and tighten bolts* results in easy safety bar slide in and out at the end. No issues there. We will be switching those a lot, so that is a relief. The dip attachments are cool - effective and a welcome addition that increases value. Also, they offer a set of free J hooks (at least for a limited time) if you post a review. I will update this if they ever get back with me.I would appreciate it if they would ship me a handlebar grip since one was missing.Email response has not been great. I emailed them with questions about the missing bar and this review two days ago, and so far all I got was an automated responder. I will update this when they respond again. This is a decent rack, and at around the $300 dollar mark I expected to have to add some more work to make it right, to my standards. I expect to come in around $50 in additional hardware from Tractor Supply, not counting my elbow grease time. It’s a good deal, but the lateral instability / wobble is my biggest criticism. If you are willing to do a little more drilling and bolting with stuff you can get at Tractor Supply, you will be fine. If you aren’t as OCD as I am, and you can deal with a little wobble / wiggle in your cage, you will be fine as is.Four stars for the value, three stars for the quality of the build and the need to put in extra work.Update: Good news - corner stabilizers that I added have improved the lateral stability to where I am happy. $30 in hardware from Tractor Supply. 12” Steel Mending plates x4, bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts. I used my power drill and metal cutting bits to drill the holes in the frame. Also good news, Hulkfit got back with me. They are sending the extra J Hooks per their offer.Bad news: They do not have handlebar grips and can’t send me one. I will look at alternatives or just do without.Edit 1-15-21Added pics of corner braces in the back. Did all 4 corners and this eliminated all lateral instability concerns. Cage is rock solid now. I highly recommend this modification.Edit 7-15-23I bought the lat pull down attachment, and here I am in Amazon trying to do a product review on the lat pull down unit. The thing is, Amazon will NOT let me do a separate review. It takes me right to my review of the rack, and there is no way to separate the two orders. So I will proceed with the review of the Lat Pull Down unit here, hoping that people will be able to find the review buried in the original. The unit itself is sturdy, and pretty smooth after installation. My sons and I will definitely be able to get a good workout with it. The construction is solid, but a bit rough around the edges. If you want something that will get the job done for lat pulls, rows, tricep pull downs, cable curls, and you have a Hulkfit cage, look no further. However, you will want a dremel tool on hand in addition to a 17mm socket and a 17mm closed end wrench. The seam where the vertical post comes together is not well machined, and you just might need to grind that lip off in order to let the slide get past it. I will attach a video to show you what I mean. We ended up using a dremel tool and not taking it apart to file it. The dremel worked well to grind off the edge. Then we WD40'd the whole thing and it just has a minimal to no bump as it goes by. Mostly not noticeable now.If you aren't "handy", you might want to get someone who IS handy to help you assemble it and make some sense of it. We figured it out all right, but on occasion, we had to take a few things apart once or twice to get it right. Just a bolt or two. I say this because the instructions are nearly worthless. You get a few diagrams but they are minimally helpful. And the pictures of where the bolts go are tiny. You have to figure out the cable runs mostly on your own. I included the route in the video. One correction - the top wire goes OUTSIDE the square tube between the pulleys - not through it!We got it on the Prime Day sale - so I am happy with it and what I paid for it. Expect to put a little elbow grease into it, git-r-done, and you'll be happy to have it as part of your home gym.

Pakage was good but posts were all scratched and customer service said to paint it. The 2 straps that came with it were too short, pointless for having a 550$ rack. They send replacement straps but when it arrived, i hade to pay 30$ of import charges. Cheap product and cheap company

Update: I finaly received replacement straps after 4 weeks
