9.6 ft Great chest freezer review

This is a great chest freezer. It was delivered in one week with no damage in a box strapped to a pallet. A section of the lid's seal was drooping so I used a spot of caulk to glue it up into position. The freezer runs quietly and it reached zero degrees quickly. The included thermometer is a nice touch. The two included hanging baskets are about 12 inches deep by 12 inches wide and slide easily across the top. After loading it with food and letting the temperature stabilize, I unscrewed the grille covering the compressor and coils and found the compressor to be quite hot which was of some concern. After searching the web i found the compressor model is commonly used in chest freezers so I'm not as concerned about premature failure. I ordered a variable speed 110 volt quiet muffin fan from Amazon and used its included screws and my own washers to attach the fan to the inside of the freezer's grille to blow air across the compressor and out past the coils. Running the fan at half speed is quiet and effective at keeping the compressor cool. I am very satisfied with this setup and the freezer. I temporarily layed a styrofoam panel across the top of the door and after 20 minutes felt the door's temperature and found it to be quite cold which indicates you could increase the freezers efficiency by adding extra insulation. Again, I'm very happy with this freezer.
