I got the regular white salt for a grinder. Some people claim that, as a mineral, salt does not benefit in any way from grinding (unlike pepper, which releases oils when ground and tastes fresh and aromatic). While chemically this likely is true, most of us are not just reacting sodium chloride in a test tube. We are cooking things. Ground salt adds nice texture to many dishes.

This salt product contained no rocks that I saw and the spout design allows easy pouring into a grinder without mess. The granules are large and grind nicely. The package also seals so that you can put the unused portion in a cabinet and pull it out at refill time.
