First Tumbler, No Regrets

I purchased this as my introduction to rock tumbling approximately six months ago and it has been on non-stop ever since! It's incredibly easy to use with a basic interface and just a few buttons. It can run for a maximum of 9 days without clicking a button and has 3 speeds. Though the instructions say 7 days on each stage, be sure to run it a little longer in stage 1 to get the results you want. Sometimes my stage 1 rocks can last up to 3 weeks! I imagine the manufacturers don't want first-timers getting discouraged when they open their tumbler to find out they have to wait up to 6 weeks for perfectly-polished material. As with all tumblers, it can be rather loud so I opt to keep it in the garage with a cardboard box underneath to absorb some of the vibration. I have yet to replace a band and it's still running as I type this review, I would be lost without it!

The tumbler works great! I can't believe the difference between each cycle. The noise is not too loud considering you are tumbling rocks!!! I placed in laundry room and cannot hear through the walls.
They provide you samples to tumble with one packet of each level of grit. So a basic starter kit. I think that is great for any product. I didn't use their sample as I had my own to tumble. So excited to keep using this to tumble my treasures!

This was purchased in 2023 as a Christmas gift for my son and he was immediately excited to toss into it a lot of gems he retrieved at a local gem mining place. The machine is so loud that we had to put it in the basement garage. Also, it vibrates so much that we had to put an oversized bottle (think Costco) of laundry detergent on either side of it to keep it from vibrating off of the table. I do like that it has a timer that you can set so it will automatically shut off once it's done. You fill it with rocks and water and add your first packet of ... dirt. Set your timer for the number if days indicated in the instructions and forget about it. It will turn off when the set time is reached. Then, you need to rinse everything out, add the rocks and water back to it along with the next packet, and repeat the process. In the end, my son was impressed with the results. But, he never asked me to buy additional packets of sand/dirt to do another round so for that reason I'm not sure it was worth the money but it does work as designed and has a lot of good features to allow you to set it and forget it, as long as you make sure it won't vibrate it's way off the table or across the room.
