Pros: The device has to pitch settings that offer different levels of white noise tone. The volume is also adjustable by sliding the outer sleeve to open or close the side holes more or less. There are no real cons to it. They are one of the best designs out there and we have tried several. We use them primary for outside office doors to block waiting areas from hearing the conversation on the inside of the office.

So far this has worked really well as ‘white noise’ so I can sleep during the day (I work the night shift) and I would recommend it for that. I don’t know how well this would do for canceling out street noises or neighbors as I live in a fairly rural area. It does do a good job of covering some of the noises my dogs make during the day but if one barks I do hear it. The little sleep mask that comes with this is garbage so if your purchasing this item over another simply for the mask, don’t.

I like that it’s small enough so it doesn’t take over the whole night table. Currently I’m using the low volume to drown out my husband’s snoring and I’m succeeding most of the time. I’ll be experimenting with the high volume in the future. It’s a balancing act.
