Haven't tried it yet, but not optimistic.

Haven't tried it yet, but not optimistic.
Based on the pictures that were included in other reviews I expected the internals above the cutting disc to be metal. But it looks like since those reviews they have switched to a nylon piece.I'm still going to try it, and I'll update if it turns out to be good, but this is likely the reason for all the reviews that mention jamming.

Every week, we go out and pick up branches in our yard before we mow, and prior to buying this, they all went to the trash. Now, we collect them and run them through the wood chipper. It effortlessly creates perfect mulch-sized bits out of branches up to 1.5 inches in diameter which is the bulk of the branches that fall into our yard. I even ran one branch that was pushing 2 inches thick and it chewed through it with no problem. We've also used it to shred cardboard boxes for our raised beds. No issues at all for us, just follow the instructions.

I was skeptical of the product after reading the reviews but after using it, I was pleased with the results. I'm using a 15A cord like it recommended and it powered through maybe 1.2" and smaller branches very quickly about broom handle length and thickness in about 20 seconds. Really small branches don't seem to go through there the best but still get chucked up. I also mulched branches with leafs still on and it worked with no problem. I thought the included mulch bag was an added bonus as it hooks onto the unit. Top feed guard lost a screw that presumably fell through the unit while running so watch for that. I have only used the unit twice for moderate sized debris piles and after each use I took the cover off to check for clogs and the condition of the blades. The cover is easy to pop off and dust out any caught twigs or leaf matter. The blades were dinged up fairly good after two uses so maybe order some extra blades but they still seem to multxh well considering. The unit is very loud, like circular saw plus shop vac loud so I recommend ear plugs. We'll see how long the unit holds up but I am happy with it for what it is as it really mulches up well.

Note: most of the reviews you see here are for the gasoline engine powered machine. I consider the way this listing is formatted to be intentionally deceptive. The gasoline option isn’t a “color.” The electric version is not practical as a limb chipper.

The electric version is specified as 15 amps, capable of handling limb diameters of 1.57”, or 39mm...

It will not handle material that size.

Not even close. If you trim all the small branches off, it will handle 3/4” limbs, IF they are fed slowly. Very... very.... VERY... slowly. Count on it taking 2-3 times the length of time it takes to trim the limbs to feed them into this.

If you have ever owned any kind of commercial grade tool you will probably hate this the second you feed so much as a twig into it.

HOWEVER... it has one effective use. I can’t believe this isn’t widely understood even by the manufacturer. (These all come from the same place but with different plastic.) If you tape cardboard in the shape of a hopper around the feeder opening it works very well for leaves. You just fill the hopper with leaves and pack it in with the ‘push paddle’.

But it is not a real chipper.

Not sure what people who complain expected. I think that for the price, it’s awesome. Ran it for over an hour with zero issues. Don’t try to put 2 inch rounds through it and you’ll be fine. It’s a little loud but that’s expected.
Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2020
First off the packaging was awful. The machine was not very secure in the box. Fortunately it came out unscathed. My second issue is that it was missing two washers and two bushings so I had to put it together without some parts that were supposed to come in the package. The washers and screws that I did get with it were just lose in the box so I imagine the bushings and other washers may have been in the package, but fell out somewhere in the delivery process. The box was not well taped so there were some places where small parts that were lose in the box easily could have fell out. That's definitely something I would recommend to the seller. Bag all the parts and pieces up and put them somewhere where they can not get lose or lost.

Another issue I had was the directions and manual that came with it. The manual had items listed incorrectly with their corresponding numbers and the directions were terrible. Fortunately the build was pretty easy so I didn't have an issue putting it together myself, but my point was the directions were certainly no help.

As for the product itself, it's built pretty cheap with mostly cheap plastic, but you get what you pay for. There's a reason why it's the cheapest price of its kind. I also think a 15 amp machine should come with a 3 prong plug so it can be grounded. Not a huge deal, but it does add a slight element of danger. I'm guessing it was made overseas so this isn't surprising. Also, it doesn't chip/shred a 1.5" diameter branch. Maybe if you babied it and took 5 minutes to guide the branch through it could do 1.5", but it isn't doing it without some manipulation. I pretty much figured this would be the case before I bought the machine so I'm not overly upset about it.

It handles 1" and less branches well, but it's best to remove any side twigs on the branches and it's also best to find as straight of branches as you can. I mostly bought it for 1" or less straight-ish branches anyway so I'm fine with it. Finally, I'm actually pretty impressed with the chips/mulch that it puts out. The chips come out small and even sized. I bought it to chip branches to put in compost and for mulching so the quality of chips and mulch that it produces is pretty much exactly what I was hoping for. All and all you get what you pay for. Don't expect to grind big branches or logs, but it's good for most little branches and twigs. I'm guessing I will have to replace the blade sooner than I'd want, but again, set your expectations realistically. The shipping was pretty fast. I would recommend this product as long as you go into it with realistic expectations.

I used that for like few hours running non-stop, It Jammed a few times in the beginning and it was my fault (I did not empty the bag so it pushed back and caused the jam),
Almost if something fits in it it will grind it for you, but for big woods, you must be a bit patient and feed it slowly.
