Smooth, comfortable — magical.

Updated, Upgraded and Ready to Roll

This electric bicycle is an upgrade to our highly rated EB7 Plus that’s more than just cosmetic. The battery is 23% more efficient and mated to a high-torque 350-watt motor. This pedal-assist bike can travel up to 19 miles* on electric power alone before needing to recharge. Switch speed modes at the push of a button and reach throttle speeds up to 18.6 mph. Battery tapped — now what? Just pedal like a traditional bicycle and keep riding.

Full throttle. Pedal-only. Or pedal-to-go electric-assist mode. No matter how you choose to ride, you’re bound to fall in love with riding all over again with the EB7 Plus.

You Asked for It, We Delivered — 7 Speed Gears

The EB7 Plus is a true upgrade to its predecessor in every sense of the word. We engineered this electric commuter bike with the versatile 7-speed gear system for true multi-gear efficiency. It’s the light, precise, and consistent shifting riders expect from a bike. And the EB7 Plus delivers. A quick-shift thumb button lets you easily shift up to higher gears. For more precise shifting, use the STI levers and coast with confidence.

Expect More from Your eBike

Because the EB7 Plus delivers. Air-filled tires on 16-inch wheels combine with enhanced rear suspension (Coil shock with adjustable preload) to smooth out rough rides like a champ. So every commute turns into a hassle-free, memorable ride. But this foldable electric bike is more than a commuter’s dream. People who have a hard time getting around can finally add outdoor adventurers and park visits back to their To-Do lists. The low-profile, step-through design is perfect for older riders or riders with mobility issues.

The EB7 Plus comes with everything you need for the perfect ride: ultra-bright display, ergonomic paddle-shaped grips for maximum comfort; bright LED headlight for low-light conditions; and electric horn and rear reflectors for safer traveling. The rear hub motor is protected from overheating by an aluminum heat sink that helps regulate the motor’s temperature. Our UL-compliant 36-volt Li-ion battery charges fully in just under four hours. Great fun, easy to use, good value, bit of a tinkerer's special. I very much like it.
4 Stars
Great fun, easy to use, good value, bit of a tinkerer's special. I very much like it.
First off, I love this bike. It's surprisingly nimble, takes me where I want to go, and was easy to rig as an errand machine (I added a seatpost rack and a cheap basket that I found at Ross). I'm right at the top end of rated weight and the bike performs wonderfully. At top speed, I get around ten miles on a fully-charged battery, and the charger is tiny so it's easy to carry to the office. Here are more details:The Good* Great price for what it does* Rides very nice on pavement and dirt* Feels stable on fast downhill runs* Quick swap battery is excellent - I carry a spare in my bag* Battery locks securely in the bike with a key* Battery can be charged in or out of the bike, no need to find a place to park next to an outlet* Gets up to speed quickly with or without pedaling* Nice Shimano derailleur* Climbs hills surprisingly well* Front headlight* Folds easily and will fit in the trunk of pretty much any car* Carry handle makes a secure place to lock the bike up* Fun to ride! The Bad* Needs some tuning out of the box - I had to adjust the front brake and true both rotors* Squeaky brakes (still working on this)* Lots of creaks and other noises to chase down (all fixable though)* Reflectors are pretty cheesy* Seat post is a weird size, hard to find parts* Will not fit comfortably anyone over about 5'10" tall* Difficult to carry when foldedThe Ugly* (This may not apply to you depending on how you use this eBike) The gearing on this bike is all wrong - a 42-tooth chainwheel and a 14-tooth top gear on the freewheel paired with the small wheel size means the motor is going to take the pedals out from under you at around 12-14 mph depending on how fast you want to spin your legs around. I swapped the original freewheel (NOT a freehub - be careful if you order a replacement!) for a model with an 11-tooth 7th gear and that helps a lot. I'm still considering replacing the chainwheel with a 48- or 50-tooth model. Again, this might not be important for you depending on how you intend to ride. All in all, do I recommend this eBike? Yes, 100%, without reservation. Just keep in mind you'll want to spend some time working on it at first, both to clean up minor manufacturing/shipping issues and to get it to do what you want it to do. After that it's all fun all the way down the road. Enjoy!
