I made a template to align the letters upper and lower case in Dr a straight line, and after a few tests was able to set the spacing by eye. It turned out great!
The lowercase “a” isn’t intuitive on which way was up. I ended up using a metal blank to make sure I had it positioned correctly before I used it on the piece I was working on. Which was fine, but it would be helpful if on the top it also showed the letter and the orientation.
I’m just getting started metal stamping and I bought the upper and lower case bridgette stamps.I’m finding them hard to read; it’s not very clear which letter is which and I’ve ended up using entirely different letters thinking they are something else.A coded chart is definitely warranted. The jury is still out on these.
