So far I'm pretty impressed with this little machine. It's compact, easy to assemble and very powerful. In fact it's (for me) almost too compact. As I'm slightly more than 6 feet tall It's a little low to easily move it around the yard. It isn't terribly difficult but will be better for someone even just a little shorter than I.
Assembly took about 45 minutes solo. They may have changed some of the items with the model I have because I read repeatedly that you needed metric wrenches and sockets and yet most of what I needed were half inch.
As for functionality, it went through a very large amount of brush up to 2 inches diameter and barely slowed down. Mulches most everything up very finely, almost to sawdust and reduced that large pile of brush to two MUCH smaller piles of mulch in about 4 hours. The ejection chute did clog twice on me when I got into more green wood, once badly enough to cause me to have to shut off the engine rather quickly so as to not burn it up. The clogs were pretty quickly cleared and it fired right up and went back to work.
Very easy to start. Runs efficiently, have ran it for hours and still on the first tank of gas. If you're looking for something to handle a lot of brush fast this little powerhouse is a great buy from what I've seen so far.
The one downside to it, I've found, is that I wanted it for my yearly leaf invasion and this does not do what the description says. It's a chipper not a chipper shredder.
WON'T be helpful for getting the leaves out of the yard.
Overall a great machine just wish it did all they said it would.
Addendum: ok one other little gripe about the chipper. After the 3rd large load of brush I had to sharpen the blades. Not sure how they expect you to take the blades off to sharpen or replace through the tiny little access door you're supposed to since it is slightly larger than the blades but has no access to nuts on the back. If you try and remove the blades just with the hex screws you'll likely strip them as they are in fairly tight but either way you would have no way I could find to reassemble them. The one saving grace is that though you have to partially disassemble the machine it isn't terribly difficult to do so and put it back together. Hopefully they will address this issue with future models. Still happy with the machine but want everyone to have eyes open as to what they're getting.
PROS: It works very well. So far, I've only fed it branches mostly less than 2 inches, but at least one was close to the 3 inch Max. I've had no issues with anything I've fed into it.
While it is a bit heavy, it is not hard to move around, though I usually leave it in one spot and bring the brush to it.
The engine starts and runs very easily and seems to be more than powerful enough for the job.
Construction, fit and finish are good. Not perfect.
CONS: The manual. The assembly instructions in particular are very poor. There are several bolts that are already screwed into their positions on the unit but that is not mentioned in the instruction manual. Also, one bolt in the pack I received was the wrong size (way too long). Luckily, I had on hand a small supply of metric bolts and had one that I fit. If you have never assembled a machine like this, you might have trouble figuring out where things go. Also, when attaching the discharge chute to the machine, There is inadequate clearance for the bolt heads, so you have to partially install the bolts top and bottom and then tighten them. It's a bit of a pain.
Overall though, it does what it was designed for. Time will tell how long it stands up. With a brush-filled area behind my back fence, I will use this at least once or twice a year, so it was well worth the cost.
Recently my motor had an issue but Fabian from GreatCircle came through and got me taken care of, so their warranty service is first rate.
Keep the blades sharp, fuel stabilizer in the gas tank, air filter clean, oil full & changed, spark plug gapped and you'll be chipping like a pro for years to come.
Was really happy to experience these safety features:
** if running and it's tilted, motor will auto-shut off
** if there's no oil in it, motor will auto-shut off
Highly recommended for keeping brush managed.
*** 21 Jun 2023 update ***
I've now had this chipper/shredder for a couple of years and thought this update might be helpful for those considering it or already own one.
First, if you're planning on buying on or already have one, maintaining it is essential. It doesn't take much but here's the basics:
* Check the oil every time before use - change the oil at least once a year, weather it's run a little or not
* Always use fuel stabilizer in the gas tank since it may sit for a while before next use
* After prolonged use, sharpen the blades and clean all the crap out
* Keep the air filter clean
* Read the manual and follow their instructions
I'm always impressed that this machine typically starts on the very 1st pull, even after sitting in the garage for 8-9 months. Then it eats through 2-3" rusty fig branches like it's nothing. This is only because the blades are kept sharp, the machine clean, oil & gas fresh.
Take care of it and you'll be happy to see yours take care of you.

Considering the high cost of more sophisticated chippers, this one is a relatively inexpensive, "bare bones" version. If you do not expect too much from it, you should be quite happy with its performance.
Beware of the set of "replacement" blades that is being offered with this unit. I hope it is a result of mistake and sloppiness rather than a sleazy trick. The blades used in this chipper have three mounting holes and are longer than the two-hole replacement blades being suggested for purchase. Many people do not check these details and find out several years later that they bought a part that does not fit, but it is already too late to return it.
