How did we get our start?
Coinciding with the announcement of the Oxford Dictionary's Word of the Year, the Danish word 'hygge' caused a Nordic trend. hygge is generally translated as "comfortable cosy". hygger is derived from hygge. If you define hygger, it is to stay away from all stress and annoying things, spend time with family and friends, do what you like or simply be alone, as long as it makes you feel relaxed and comfortable.

Update: its been ~9 months and the heaters temp display is off. Its randomly jumping from 73 to 84 deg.... I keep thinking it has cooked my fish but when I feel the water temp it is only 73 (also according to the sticker thermometer on the side its still 73/74). This is the 3rd time it has done it in the last 2 weeks.... I can reset it by unplugging it for 30sec and plugging it back in but sadly Im probably going to have to search for a new one :(
The only issue I've had is the suction cups not keeping it well-secured. If the cord is running in a more or less straight line to the outlet it's fine, but if the cord twists at all it also twists the heater and pops off the suction cups. But with how nice the temperature adjustment is, I don't think that's enough to knock off a star for me.
reached out to seller and explained what was going on. Responded 1 business day and told me to stop using it and they are sending a replacement. Within a few days, I received a replacement.
Sellers 1 year warranty is solid
UPDATE
Still working, but now when it heats up to temp...it makes a noise... Cracking..knocking..til it reaches temp. It's quite loud...see video
this heater is great for the size. love the button near the plug end to easily adjust the temp. Led makes reading water temp quick and easy. Safety shutoff on low water is a plus. this was for my 12g narrow. which is only 8 inch high. this was perfect. water is warm enough for my fish
Water felt like a hot tub, digital display read HH, and both my fish were dead and cooked. Somehow, a shrimp and a few snails were still alive and an emergency water change/cool down helped keep them that way, but this product failed in an epic way, continuing to heat in spite of the temperature being VERY MUCH above 65 degrees. A few hours after the water change and fishy funeral, I plugged it back in, reset goal temp to 65 degrees, and waited an hour. Its digital readout continued to climb through the 70s, to 80, and then I pulled the plug, since the ambient air temp was above 65 degrees, and so it shouldn't have kicked on in the first place, let alone continued to heat more and more and more....
User beware.
The numbers are nice and big so they're easy to read, even though I have the heater hidden behind a piece of driftwood so it won't detract from the overall look of the tank. It's very accurate as measure by an infrared thermometer and an aquarium thermometer (+/-1 degree). It's surrounded by a plastic case so I don't have to worry about any of the critters in my tank getting accidentally burnt, plus I don't have to worry about it breaking like I would if it were glass.
I don't know how well this would fit in a tank smaller than 10 gallons because it is a pretty good size, but for my tank it's perfect and easily hidden.
