His vet recommended canned organic pumpkin (NOT for pies) which kept him regular and happily LAPPING up loudly his food bowl. Seizures got him in the end. The diapers were a godsend! I was not able to lift him outside during an episode. Even before that I didn't have to worry about him waking and beating him to the apartment door before he lifted a leg! Oh for the doggie door he grew up with, none here; went from large house with doggie door to apartment with zero doggie door. Anyway... back to diapers.
Once his bladder was empty for the night I would line his diaper (he wore medium during the day and medium for night with pads made for incontinent women, extra absorbency and extra long) - then large was for the double wrap to last the entire night) Wrap the first with extra padding one way - for instance left to right to secure then the back up (second, large wrap no extra padding) the opposite way. You'll see. Sometimes the wraps come off if he brushed against something that hooks the secure point and pulls it away completely like a kitchen drawer pull or up against the sofa or bed. Again, you will see. A close eye when you first begin to use will help you figure out the configuration that works for you both. As long as Obi was strong enough to jump up on sofa the diaper did not interfere with getting up or down. Then he usually would sleep on his large, tempurpedic cushion with an extra cushion I'd place for his neck and face - he liked to spread out a Basenji trait. Their tails uncurl once body is relaxed and all fours are stretched out. He was an amazing companion and a very, very smart boy.
If you've any question please reply to this post (if possible). Here's the Bottom line: Do Not Hesitate to purchase diapers for your puppy/young or elderly dog! I highly recommend them.

Full Review:
Our 10lb papillon is a bit of a marker and he's smart enough to do it when no one will catch him in the act. So, I turned to belly bands.
Unfortunately, all the reusable kinds seem to love that thick/wide velcro, which my dog hates. I ended up finding these to try as an alternative. Now I absolutely love them and they are the only ones I'll buy. He appears to be wetting them less often now too (but that isn't brand related).
Pros (in respect to my boy):
Great fit
Easy & Quick to fasten
Keeps him dry
No slipping for extended periods
No leaking (holds a full bladder's worth)
Cons:
Price
Disposable only
Side note - I'd be a fan of some color options so they aren't easy to miss. With my boy's white coat, if someone isn't paying attention, they can let him outside without noticing it is on. And if they find a way to put this type of fastener on a reusable, I'd jump on those in a heartbeat.
His skin was never irritated.
I'm grateful this product gave us back more quality time with our best friend of 14 years, and kept everything cleaner. He's gone now, I have no regrets that these were some of the last products he used. I’ll just have to figure out what to do about this hole in my heart.

1: Adhesive strip is too small and frequently folded or wrinkled.
2: It is ok for use during the day, but not good for overnight use. Absorbent is not hold liquid well, so it leaks
3: Price is ok.
4: Try other brands and compare
If you take it off, and let the dog go outside, then put it back on, you can reuse them a few times. However, they do end up bunching a little and/or moving too far up or down. So when you reuse them, you have to put them on well. Open them fully, and that includes the side parts that are folded over the Velcro strip, open it wide and it will stick, and wrap a little snugly. Not too tight. Pull the bottom part smoothly in the front and back to make sure it doesn't bunch and move. That will help keep it in place longer. When I do that, I don't get leaks. I don't have puddles. Life is much happier for both of us. :D
I know my poor dog is getting near the end of his life, but as long as he is not in pain, this makes it possible for me to keep him with us a little longer.

They trap a lot. Its kind of tricky to fit first off and there were a few escapes it didnt catch, once you get the hang of it it wont fail.
There are wings (of sorts) covering part of each side of the velcroish stuff; unfold entirely and stop it from being stuck on it again, or there will be spills out the side.
Otherwise, I like them. Reordered them.
I have received comments about "it's time". No. I can't do that. I cannot kill a dog. That will haunt me the rest of my days. I love dogs. All dogs. So, if my dog is having some problems remembering where he should be when he starts to urinate, I just have to be ready. These doggie diapers help.
The diapers wrap around the whole body of your dog. After you unfold them a bit, they become a rather wide wrap, that goes completely around the dogs body. It can be a bit of a hit and miss, regarding if you have really got the end of his penis right where it should be. Several times, I have placed the diaper on, only to discover a few hours later, that I had missed the mark.
If you are careful with proper placement of the diaper on your dog, these units are certainly big enough to completely contain an "event". My daughter had originally purchased these for our dog, and I thought what a stupid idea. Wrong. Very smart idea. Like I said, they can really save the day - they really work.
Oh, sorry - this is for a male dog only. I understand they have the same kind of thing for female dogs, too. I have not tested those.
Paid for by my own money - thought you should know that. Thanks!
Apparently they’re comfortable in use, too 😍
