I love this blender. I've been waiting years for a Vitamix and was making do with the Nutribullet Rx because they are so expensive. I got tired of constantly having to completely unscrew the whole lid and move things around constantly on the old one to keep things blending unless using a lot of liquids. I wish i hadn't waited. This blender is a dream. I can make frozen fruit 'ice cream', soups, hummus, smoothies, whole fruit juices. I have done it all with no problems or overheating. I called Vitamix and this blender and the components in this bundle are included in the warranty. I haven't used the processor yet but will be this weekend so I will update this if I don't like it. The online business "NoYoke" has good recipes and tips for using these blenders also.

I’m a big fan of Vitamix products, in my trip to America I purchased on Amazon the bundle Vitamix ascent blender with de food processor, I already had a vitamix 5200 that I bought in 2010 and I just love it, it got broken one time, it was fixed, but it was time for an upgrade to the ascent series.I still love vitamix, 3 things are very upsetting. 1 it spills whatever you are making everywhere, even in low speed, the speed doesn’t go even like the 5200, the speed oscillates a lot, if you open the middle lid it will spill.
The food processor attachment accepts only ONE SPEED.

2. The design seems to be made to accumulate dust in the corners, it has some places that with time will get stains and it will be hard to clean.
3. The food processor operates only in one speed, how come Vitamix? It is a expensive attachment to run only in one speed.
Now that I used a second time I don’t think it is worth to buy the food processor attachment, it runs in only one speed, this speed is too fast and just pulverizes everything as if I would be using a blender, It doesn’t make sense to have just one speed, I wonder why did Vitamix do that, in my case I can’t return the product because I brought it to Brasil with me, but apart from loving my old Vitamix blender the I would give 4 stars to the ascend blander and 0 star for the food processor attachment.

When I was perusing the market for a blender, simply for shakes and smoothies, I was eyeing the Ninja for a while. I found out from some research that for longevity and multi-purpose the Vitamix was the better option.
But to justify paying almost $1,000 for a blender? That's the thing, it isn't just a blender, this is a food processor too. For a Vitamix standard of a peak motor running at 2.2hp (horsepower!) That's exceedingly strong for a household kitchen blender meaning it even exceeds the average hp of your average food processor! This bundle even includes 4 discs (small/thick shred/slice) plus the julienne discs (thick/thin). They're very sharp and work extremely efficiently, slicing and shredding a carrot in less than a second.
Vitamix has run in my family for 10 years and I don't mean that it's been bought and replaced multiple times, I mean the very first Vitamix my mom owned she still has from 10 years ago. It's an investment that lasts long with a 10 year warranty.
My one and only complaint is that the covers are all a bit tight, but I'm sure with some use overtime it'll loosen. It is loud after about speed 4 or 5, but that's to be expected, it's a blender!
So if you ask me, it's well worth the money. Do buy if you're a busy mom, health geek, or you simply need a sous chef in the kitchen.

Makes great smoothies
Chose Vitamix to replace the old nutribulet. Like the machine so far. I wish it had less details. Like the silicon rings around lids that traped some food in, I had to take it off to clean. I hope the silicon holds and will not snap with every clean. The base and regular continer as in pic 1 did not fit under my cupboard, I have a special little wooden table for it. The food processor watch out for the blades, they are sharp I got cut trying to wash it, but it does its job making purre. It is easier to store then my previous kitchenaid food processor. See pic 2. Overall I am keeping it. It replaced 2 appliances, but takes same amount of space in the cupboard.Svetlana SchilniucMakes great smoothies
