Clean First, make sure your leather is clean. We recommend using Bickmore Saddle Soap for general cleaning or Bick 1 for tougher stains. Always test cleaners on a small, hidden area before use.	Apply Once clean, apply Bick 4 Leather Conditioner directly with your hands or with a soft cloth. Gently work the conditioner into the leather. Do NOT use on suede, roughout, distressed, or napped leathers.	Dry Allow Bick 4 Leather Conditioner to absorb into leather and wait until dry.	Buff Buff leather with a Bickmore Shine Cloth. Repeat as necessary to achieve desired finish.

I bought this to condition some 50-year-old military boots. I read about mink oil and other oils, but they can be greasy and it's hard to polish over it. Bick 4 is great because it dries without being greasy and I have no problem shining/polishing my shoes/boots after use. I read it doesn't absorb as deeply as other conditioners, but that also means it is nearly impossible to "over condition" with Bick4, which is also bad. I put 2-3 layers on with a soft cloth and let it absorb for 30 minutes or so. I can tell the leather is softer and the boots have started to crease with wear instead of crack as they may have done without conditioning. Highly recommend for a good blend of conditioning power and lack of greasiness and the ability to polish over it. I don't know if it is waterproof/weatherproof, that's what the polish helps with- even if it isn't, that's not the purpose of it in my case.

Saved my $100 Boots from Dog Claw Marks

Fixed leather shoe squeaking

Using a microfiber cloth, I rubbed it on some new Ecco black leather sneakers that were squeaking from the tongue rubbing against the top. The squeaking went away for a few weeks. When it started to come back on one shoe, I reapplied and that seems to have fixed it again.

It's a cream that left my boots looking natural and clean with a nice patina coming through after a few days. This is not a fix all. If you have some deep scuffs on your boots before the conditioning, those scuffs will still be there after. But the leather around the scuff is going to look a hell of a lot better.

If you want a shoe conditioner that does just enough but doesn't over moisturize your leather this is a great choice.
