Picking up people from other states!!
First time I tried them out after charging them I went to scan, and here it picked up a repeater that had people chiming in from Colorado, Arizona, and also New Mexico! I was surprised to say the least! Have quite a few things to learn about the radio world, but mainly got them in case of phone outages, have not tested the range in the city, but will give it a test and report back, now all I have to do is pick out my new handle and get hip to the lingo, copy, over and out!

As a traffic control flagger, a very necessary part oif my gear is my walkie talkies! Midland walkies I use everyday are the very best, IMO! We just went through a week of 18 days, of constant use, these walkies never let me down! I did buy the spare battery packs for them, & only had to change them out once midshift. They charged quickly when on the charger port (within the 4 hours I had off). The walkies signal is strong even with a 1/2 mile between units, the speakers deliver a clear voice making it easy to understand the communications, even in freezing rain! Very Important feature in my job! Well made, withstands cold temperatures (down to the teens), strong body (withstood being dropped multiple times). Have recommended them to my boss for radios as they in market for replacing the OTHER brand that didn't work during this storm!! Thank you, Midland!
