I cook for my son and I maybe 15-18 times a month or so. I feel like I'm a pretty smart guy, but I have ZERO background in cooking. I bought this for the steamer basket, but truthfully? I end up using this as just a pot most of the time, and I find myself going to this over the fancy Zwilling non-stick heavy pot I have more and more.

It is absolutely thin and light. And THAT'S WHY I like it. Need to boil water for eggs or rice or whatever? Man, just throw this bad boy on the (electric) burner, it heats up crazy fast. I love that. I was afraid that stuff would stick to it faster than I could keep track of, and be a nightmare to clean... nope, totally opposite. I Genuinely love this little pot set. Every other pot/pan in my house is a 'fancy' matching set, except this thing. And I love it.

NOTE: I don't have a gas stove. No idea how this performs there.

This three piece steamer with glass lid is not overly heavy - good when you are lifting a 3 piece pot. I like the ability to steam more than one type of vegetable at a time, with room to keep them separated - helpful for fussy eaters. I only use the pot to steam vegetables but it is big enough to make a pot of soup to pasta sauce. I cleaned it easily with a soapy sponge and warm water. l have washed the lid in the dishwasher with good results.I bought this as a replacement for an old, worn steamer. It works well for my needs.
