We are in our second year of having a garden so are learning as we go. This year got a lot of plants and advice from a friend who plants two BIG gardens and one was when we were in the middle of a drought season was they were getting the soaker hoses out.
We had been watering and my wife did it a lot of times till water was standing but the next day around four or so the ground looked dry. Her brother commented one afternoon you need to water and my wife told him she had been.
I decided to go the soaker method and this fabric type from reviews appeared to be superior in ease of use and durability. The rubber types got a lot of pans because of weight and sensivity to weathering.
Got 150 feet. 100 feet for this garden and 50 more for the planned expansion next year. The 100 feet was easy to lay out and the flow was even the entire length. The first thing we liked it was not beating on the plants like using a sprinkler or hose attatchment did. The next good feature we liked is it takes less time. It is easier to just turn the faucet on and come back 20 minutes later, and I know this saves water. But the absolute best part is two days later we had a different looking garden. The plants perked up and at the end of the day the ground did not have that dried out look it had been having.
Over all easy to use, saves water and works better. Good buy.

Leaked from connector immediately
I installed and put mulch over hose. Connect it and turned water on. Very first time used, it leaked (sprayed) from connector. I took coupling (blue piece) apart and reconnected -- still leaks. It is leaking from the hose connector. I returned it and received a replacement. It is light weight and easy to handle. Works well.

This hose is sssooo much better! It has a nylon like outer casing that weaved through my hedges effortlessly. I have 100 ft of hedge and hose so that was really nice to get it all in place in much less time and allot easier. As you can see from the video how I have it weaved in the hedges and how the water comes out of the hose which is perfect as it does not cause puddles of water but it comes out just enough to soak in the ground.
Worth the money!
