I have purchased 4 Bonmedico seat cushions2 - donuts (standard and large).2 - seat cushions (standard and large)The donuts are NOT memory foam but a firm foam. The seat cushions ARE memory foam. However - I actually prefer the donuts that are not memory foam. The reason is that I sit for hours in a chair working on a computer each day so I sit on one of these items. After about 1 hour the memory foam is squashed down and my butt hurts. The donuts keep me elevated so I can sit for hours without discomfort.The larger donut in the attached picture was purchased in 2017 - I don't know if I ever washed the covers until now - but when I took it off, all the cooling gel pad was deteriorated and a MESS! It was no longer attached but in a ball in the front/back ends.

When the pandemic hit, I started working from home. I quickly realized that working from my kitchen table wasn't working out in terms of either noise level or comfort, so I bought a used desk and chair online. The desk was perfect, but the chair needed major help - the seat, especially, was unbelievably uncomfortable to sit in, in terms of my... rear end. Absolutely killer - I could not use the chair. So I bought two different cushions - neither worked well enough to overcome my horribly uncomfortable chair seat. Then I found this one. It works very well. It makes it so I can spend the time needed working at my desk, no problem. Since I found the appearance of the cushion unattractive (it'd be fine for a work setting - it's boring and black, so perfect for the office), I covered it in a fuzzy pillow cover, just for kicks - and that's what you see. I'd also added a tiny striped pillow for my back that I had around the house. It may be an odd look, but it's super comfortable now.
