I have a Briggs & Stratton pressure washer that is over 10 years old. I use a few times a year for pressure washing all the sidewalks and bricks of the house. Finally after years of use the connectors of the hose were starting to get a lot of limescale from our hard water. Nothing else was wrong with the hose, just years of use. So I found this OEM replacement for spring cleaning in March. I pulled out the pressure washer this June to prep the patio furniture and the hose started to come apart! This is only the second time I have used this hose! I contacted the seller and was told that it must be from dragging it on the pavement. No replacement to be sent. Really, the other hose lasted me over 10 years. I'm the only one that uses it and I'm sure I haven't changed my technique. Not sure if this hose is just not a real OEM part, defective, or the general quality of Briggs & Stratton has gone down. I'm pretty disappointed in this product. I'll be looking elsewhere for a replacement.

My original hose sprung a leak after 3 years of ownership and I went to sears where I bought it and they wanted a ridicules amount of $60 and I said forget it. My search carried me to places like Home Depot,Lowes,Walmart,target and so on and all carried a similar price and I finally said forget it and drained the oil out and ran the gas out and just tucked it away in my garage for the last 2 years and then I came along a project requiring the use of a pressure washer so I pulled it out put all fluids back in and it fired up on the first pull so I decided to try amazon before I went to the store to spend $60 and I found this hose and the reviews were good so I bought it for $20 and used my 2 day prime shipping and it actually showed up a day sooner and I can't be more happy. It fit perfectly on my unit . I see no difference between this hose and my original except for the $40 price difference. I have used this about 10 times since I bought it and its worked flawlessly every time. I have read some reviews the hose can melt if to close to the engine so I just pay a little extra attention while I am using it to make sure the hose does not get near the engine. I recommend this to any one looking for a replacement hose to there original who does not wanna break the bank.

Perfect replacement hose for my pressure washer. However, it doesn't feel like it's the same quality as the original hose (which was ~8 years old when it finally broke). The pressure rating is marked the same, but I think they've switched to a cheaper manufacturer during those years from when I got my original hose to this one. I also had to return the first one I got for another because a bubble formed near one of the fittings underneath the outter rubber sheath -- you could see and feel the bulge. Pretty sad for a brand new name brand hose to be bad on arrival. 3 starts for good fit and actually working as a replacement -- minus two stars for poor quality.
