This bag has held up well to weekly use for a few months [See 2-year update below]; it's easy to clean, and works great to make Almond milk with a regular blender.
I soak 1.5c raw almonds overnight to soften them up, discard the floaters, drain the soaking water, then blend with ~4c fresh water for about 2 min on highest setting. While it's blending, wash your hands well for the next step :). Hold the bag over a large bowl (with the seam side out), then pour from the blender into the bag. As the milk drains, twist up the bag and use your hands to squeeze out the liquid (work at it!). Milk stores in a jar in the fridge for several days.
Apparently you can use the strained almond meal for baking, but I just compost it. To clean, I turn the bag inside out (i.e. with the seams facing inside) and rinse off the remaining meal. I wash the bag by hand in the same bowl I used to strain the milk, using a little dish soap and water. I then rinse it a couple more times in fresh water in that bowl, then hang it up to dry overnight. In several months I haven't had any mildew or off smells, likely because it's made from Hemp. The instructions say you can re-sterilize the bag by boiling it for 15 min, but I haven't needed to do this.
[Update December 2017: after about 18 months of regular use (more than once a week), this bag started to give out: small holes developed in the fabric, some of the stitching was loosening up, and it developed some discoloration that wouldn't wash out, though it never got to the point of actually smelling moldy. I replaced it with

No more Cheese cloth!
I haven't used this yet but just by looking at it I know I'm going to like this a lot. I make different nut milks and hate cheese cloth. It's just too messy and a pain. This is going to be perfect! That it's made out of a natural material is a plus. The insert in the package gives you ideas on what and how to use it. It's a good size bag and will be a breeze to clean. I'll be able to make one good size batch with this instead of a number of smaller batches using the cheese cloth which is time consuming. It's a good strong, sturdy material so will get a lot of use out of it. I wish I would have used something like this from the start.
